I'm not saying what he did wasn't wrong, especially the lying, but the media anger and outrage against him is kind of laughable at this point. To be honest, I think Aaron Hernandez is getting off easier from the media for killing someone than Braun is for using PED's.
Hernandez was destroyed by the media for weeks, but once he went to jail, they moved onto the next story. They didn't let him off easy as you say, they simply stopped giving a murder suspect coverage. There's really not much you can continue to go on with a murder unless you feel the whole story hasn't been told. In the Hernandez case, there seems to be little, if any doubt that he committed the crime. You can't really debate on air much about it at that point.
In the Braun case there are a bunch of different opinions on it so you can continue to cover the story from different angles.
