I can see the reviews now: "Mediocre meets sub-par in a highly disappointing movie with lots of explosion and little else."

Seriously underwhelming movie news.

Jaime:  There's more than just those movies you mentioned as well.

All of these are shceduled for a 2015 release:

"Jurassic Park 4"

"Pirates Of The Caribbean 5"

"Ant Man"

"Finding Dory"

"Fantastic Four" (reboot)

"Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2"

"Justice League"

"Pitch Perfect 2"

"Avatar 2"

"Terminator 5"

Another James Bond flick

"Kung Fu Panda 3"

"Assassin's Creed"

"Hotel Transylvania 2"

"Independence Day 2"

"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2"

Untitled Batman reboot

"Mission: Impossible 5"

Along with...

"The Avengers 2"

"Star Wars, Episode VII"

Untitled Superman / Batman movie

Disney is going to make so much money its going to absolutely be astounding.

2015 is already being projected as the highest grossing year in film history by far (even with ticket price adjustments).

Batman and justice league are effectively cancelled with this announcement

I think ant man also was delayed as was Jurassic park 4

Avatar 2 was pushed back to 2016

The other stuff I'm pretty sure is on track for 2015 also add Ted 2 which was a high grossing comedy

Don't get me wrong, Jonn Ham is a superb actor and is amazing in his role in Mad Men but I just don't see him as a batman type.  Not only does the character not seem to fit but in my mind he just wouldn't look right in a bat suit.  I think Michael Fassbender would be the perfect fit. It was announced earlier in the day.  The article I posted said rumor, but if you look below that, I said LD2k tweeted that it was announced.

It looks like the tentative plan is for the new Batman to first appear in the upcoming sequel to this summer's blockbuster "Man of Steel" before the two heroes star in an official team-up movie.

Michael Fassbender

Great actor.

Would be interesting to see him take on a role like that. Would't mind him getting a crack at being Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Like others though, i'd like to see Christian Bale reprise his role.

On a side note, i'd rather another standalone Batman movie come out than a movie where other DC characters are thrown in there. Not a Superman fan either.

It isn't so much that I am a Bale fan, but considering the Dark Knight series is still very recent, well any other immediate Batman would feel out of place. But sill the Dark Knight Returns from Frank M. Miller is an amazing story, and very dark. It is regarded as one of the better Batman storylines by far, anyone curious should just look up a summary for some reference.

I knew of those upcoming movies, but I had no idea of rebooting Fantatstic Four and a CTHD sequel.

I hope they dont do this

It is a very good storyline, unless you think they will fail at it or won't be really true to its premise.

Although thinking about it, the recent movie the Dark Knight Returns actually took elements from this storyline so it would be kinda tricky. Plus you cannot throw in Superman here unless there is another storyline plugged in.

In the end though, still no Flash movie, so sad.
