If the campaign was going to be anything like the battlefield campaigns that DICE has made, I think it's a blessing that they didn't include it. They can't make a good single player game to save their lives.
First person shooter campaigns are always the same for me, enjoyable never special. I don't think I have ever played an FPS game and been blown away with the campaign. The simple fact is regardless of what you do there is only one mechanic in FPS single player games, shoot computer bad guys. If your in a tank, plane, or car it is always the same just put the reticle on the bad guy and press the trigger.
At least with starwars you have the ability to change things up a little bit since it is a different universe than all other fps games. Plus anything is better than nothing because you still can choose to not play it, so the addition can't make it worst. While at the least it give you 5 hours of semi-enjoyable gameplay, but more than anything just a chance to get a feel of the mechanics of the game.
