Hope they dont throw in the micro transactions you see in Battlefield and other EA games. Wait who am I kidding there is of course gonna be a [expletive] ton of them lol

Still excited for it looks like they are taking their time with it at least.

It's EA, so they will offer some type of "Premium" service like they did on BF3, BF4 and Hardline.

Micro transactions aren't a "huge" issue like in other games. At least not in BF3 or 4. Battlepacks for a few bucks are mostly it. Vehicle shortcuts are still like $20 so no one buys that lol

Been tossing up whether I'd get this on the PC or on my Xbox One and I think I'll go with the Xbox One because my reaction time is way too slow for FPS PC games haha. Got both the Battlefield games on the PC and I really, really suck at multi-player but I'm not as bad on the console.

^ when EA made BF3 free on PC last year I got it.

Played the campaign to see what it was like gaming with a mouse and keyboard.

LOVED the aiming and shooting with the mouse. I was just hip firing the entire time. It's so easy and I could see it turning into a bad habit when playing online lol.

I hated the moving around with the keyboard though. Tough to go from controllers your whole life to a few keys.

As far as reaction time goes, I didn't notice a huge difference.

This Star Wars game though, like most DICE games will look beautiful on PC, and pretty damn good on console too(just not as good).

I actually tried playing with a controller on the PC and it did not end well haha. One thing I do like about the Battlefield games though is that you can still get a good score without a good kill-streak. I always end up with assists and revives that keep me in the middle of the team somewhere.

Knowing myself though I'll probably get Battlefront on both systems eventually if it has good enough reviews.

Games definitely look better on the PC, kind of jarring booting up my 360 now.

Should be expected it is made by EA. Where is the news that there is no single player though? Was it just in the video and I missed it?

I hate games that don't have a single player, like come on that is a stable of any game. If Call of duty can throw a 6 hour campaign together even though most players only buy it for multiplier you can certainly put one together if you have the lore and cool characters that is star wars.

If the campaign was going to be anything like the battlefield campaigns that DICE has made, I think it's a blessing that they didn't include it. They can't make a good single player game to save their lives.

First person shooter campaigns are always the same for me, enjoyable never special. I don't think I have ever played an FPS game and been blown away with the campaign. The simple fact is regardless of what you do there is only one mechanic in FPS  single player games, shoot computer bad guys. If your in a tank, plane, or car it is always the same just put the reticle on the bad guy and press the trigger.

At least with starwars you have the ability to change things up a little bit since it is a different universe than all other fps games. Plus anything is better than nothing because you still can choose to not play it, so the addition can't make it worst. While at the least it give you 5 hours of semi-enjoyable gameplay, but more than anything just a chance to get a feel of the mechanics of the game.

I agree with you that it's hard to find really good single player FPS games. The original Halo, Half Life, Bioshock are some of my favorites though. They aren't typical modern military shooters though, and have a lot of innovative features.

I really enjoyed the MOHAA and the original COD campaign. I really love WW2 era games, so that was probably part of it. Resistance, and the Red Faction games or some other ones.

Regardless, I'm getting this game. There is such a drought of Star Wars game that I hope the sells like crazy, because I want some more of them made.

Same. They did a great job at making you feel like a bad ass jedi, but as you said they were very short. It is surprising how a world that is so rich of lore, and also badass powers has not really have great success video game wise.
