Great stuff Cano. Here's one from How I Met Your Mother. Great stuff. Art rock.

Also for those willing to see evolution of rock, including punk and everything here is the link for great BBC series called Seven ages of rock. There are 7 episodes, each 1 hour long.

Top 3?    Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and...  and....    tough to decide between U2, Eagles, Guns n Roses, Stones, Motley Crue....   a lot could be #3 to me.  The first 2 are easy.  Most would have the Beatles in the top 3, if not undoubtedly #1, but I'm not much of a fan of their music.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful and amazing live performances of a song ever. In fact, it's rare that a live or second version of the original of the song is THIS much miles & away better. Sadly, I couldn't find any video of the performance itself live though I've seen it before many times. I did find a cheap few, but quality was way too crappy so this will do for now, just the song in great quality. The video would've made it great too though cause you see how concentrated & flawlessly they play the instruments.

Overall though, I must say, I thank my Father tremendously for introducing me to so much great classic rock. If it weren't for him I might not have known as much as I do.

If you're interested, I found this one:

I have conflicting opinions of the Beatles.

Yet this song puts them to rest lol.

Not many people know it, but Jimi Hendrix grew up with the Isley Brothers (living in their home for a few years while they were teens).   IMO, not only is Jimi Hendrix one of the greatest guitarist ever, but so is Ernie Isley.   Check out this solo:

SKip to the 4:00 minute mark.

I saw Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band play live last night and they were incredible. I haven't seen a live show as good as that before! Its amazing that a guy who is 64 can play for over 3 hours and have so much energy. And he really appreciates his fans which is awesome to see.

Also Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine was one of the guitarists in his band and he was amazing. He played a 6 minute solo which blew everyone's minds!

My top 3 :

1. Pink Floyd

2. Led Zeppelin

3. Jimi Hendrix Experience

Those 3 are the cream of the crop. I love the Beatles, but I think they are slightly overrated. I'd put guys like Bob Dylan, Cream, The Who, The Door, and the Kinks over the Beatles easily... but the Beatles are [expletive]ing awesome, it's just that some of the bands deserve way more recognition than them.

But The Cream is the cream of the crop, that's why they called themselves Cream :(

Top 3 is real tough for any genre especially classic rock

In no order: Eagles, Pink Floyd & Fleetwood

As far as Beatles goes I agree that they are overrated. I find a lot of their music a lot better when it's covered by better singers than when they performed it.

I just discovered a new crazy psychedelic rock band yesterday. They are from Australia, and this lead singer sounds like John Lennon. They sound like Lennon surrounded himself with Pink Floyd musicians. If anyone wants to listen here are two songs and a whole album. Enjoy!
