I like this: http://games.espn.go...tradeId=73dfz6u

Lakers get PG help, youth, and size. Nash gets a chance to win a ring, plus we retain our TPE to use on some help, maybe make a move later. Plus, Nash has an expiring contract, and if he likes the Lakers, could be resigned next season for cheap. If he plays, I mean the guys is STILL the top assist leader in the NBA.

Wolves get Pau, and vet savvy. Maybe throw in some of the rookies like Ebanks etc...

Suns get expiring contracts and some picks to go into rebuilding mode. Maybe give them a rookie like Morris as well.

its great for us. but not for the wolves or suns

There's no way the Wolves are going to trade a rising star in Kevin Love for a declining 32-year-old Pau Gasol.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Need a PG

Need a PG so bad.
Example Knicks game.
Jeremy Lin aint that great. Hes decent. But was able to blow by Fisher and Blake almost every time. Dribble penetration into the paint over and over.
At one point he even laughed after 2 stepping by them for a lay up in isolation.
So then coach Brown would bring Drew or Pau up from the post for double team.
Then Lin had Wallace set high screen and rolls exposing the basket.
Then Brown adjusts again and has Kobe guard Lin. And thats what stopped his production.

BUT KOBE SHOULDNT BE GUARDING A DAMN PG.

I keep thinking Pau goes out in a three team deal. Williams is a nice piece, but probably used to help us acquire a PG.

Don't feed the trolls.

Does anyone think that Rubio will automatically put us in Championship contention? If we got Rubio and Love for Pau it wouldn't guarantee us crap. Although nothing is guarateed I think Miami AKA a LeBron team (I think we're 2 and 10 against Cleaveland/Miami) would still mow us down. Let's face it, Miami is seriously going to have to be dealt with for the next 3 or 4 years. Unless we can match that big three and their young athletic spporting cast; we're in trouble along with everyone else. We won our last 5 championships with very good players in their prime. Now most of our very good players are past prime and the rest may be very good one day. Maybe. Just keeping it real. We need tough ballers to surround Kobe. Mike Brown needs to have the Balls and Players/Talent to only play Kobe 33 minutes per game

if the T'wolves end up being a partner it will be a 3-way. and i would venture to guess we would end up keeping beasley to start at PF and williams will go out for a PG

beasley williams ridnour and one of their centers (darko/brad miller) - that is what pau is worth at least since love and rubio are untouchable

At the very least the Lakers should get back Beasley, Williams, and Webster IF a deal was serious.

The deal proposed by Minnesota is a joke. Pau is worth far more than Williams and draft picks. That would set the Lakers back even further and the rest of Kobe's career would go to waste.

Nice try Minny, no thanks.

Pau's value is far higher than that / this.

So what? Minny wants Pau for free? LOL...

And I want Adrianna Lima as my "personal assistant".

Nice to have dreams...

Just like Minnesota?? Okay. They don't have Drew and Kobe but Minn would never give up both for Pau alone. The way Love has been playing the last year or so, Pau is not worth Love straight up. And Love is only getting better

Derrick Williams and picks hmm.

Derrick Williams and Michael Beasley and Picks sounds better

Third team will be involved the salaries don't match.

Beasley and Williams doesn't do it either.

It addresses nothing and takes away an All-Star caliber player away for nothing but kids. Draft picks don't mean squat. There's not time in Kobe's career right now to fritter it away waiting for rookies to MAYBE develop into something.

No, no and more no to this stupid deal.

The more I think about it, this could be a stepping stone to a potential Dwight deal.

I mean Orlando could potentially get a package of Bynum, Williams, and Beasley + picks? That's very hard for the Magic to resist. I would be fine trading out both Bynum and Gasol in the deal if it means getting back Dwight, Anderson and either Barea or Nelson.

Fisher(unfortunately)

Beasley(Possibly)
Derrick Williams
Howard

I never said they would do the trade. But you said If we got Rubio and Love for Pau it wouldn't guarantee us crap. Which is very untrue...if we got those two players we would easily be favorites for the title

I would take the heat over that team ANY day. Also....Not ever happening. Maybe we can trade Pau for Wade and Lebron
