Spiller and Bulaga to my Niners

Gore and Spiller would be a great 1-2 punch and drafting an O-lineman is what we need right now

I think the 49ers drafted Glen Coffee in the 3rd round of last year's draft...how has he looked backing up Gore?

CJ will prolly be used on ST as well.

Yup we did  . Problem is, Coffee is like a replica of Gore. He didnt carry the ball that much except when Gore went down with the ankle injury. He was ok but that really killed us. His best game was against St. Louis and Atlanta where he rushed 74 and 45(w/ 1 td) respectively. Hes been ok though  . Just like Spiller a lot

Il be happy if we get an O-lineman  . Thats our biggest weakness and the reason why are running game dies out

49ers need a great QB cause crabtree is a beast and that would balance the offence to help gore more with the rushes

That top 5 is a joke. Geral McCoy should be everyone's #2 BPA. Arguably #1.

PREACH!

The Niners desperately need a homerun threat in this offense.. yeah we drafted Coffee last year but he does not compliment Gore at all.. Spiller is the explosive back that we need.. Spiller would compliment Gore the way Felix Jones compliments Marion Barber.. Gore is more of a power back than a speed back so that speed back is needed.. plus Spiller excelled as a PR/KR which is a huge need for us.. Coffee would just provide additional depth since if you are going to be a run-heavy team you will need to be deep at the RB position.

I would have no problem with the 49ers taking a right-tackle in this position if that guy was either Bulaga, Okung, or Anthony Davis.. but we shouldnt reach with this pick and take a OT just for the sake of taking one.. this pick should be best player available, so it should be between those tackles or Spiller if they were available.. if we passed on Spiller for some ungodly reason, we better make sure we are able to draft Dexter McCluster because that guy answers a lot of our problems as well.. he is a great return man and can play both RB and in the slot as a receiver.. he too is a big play waiting to happen which is what we need.

But I hope we take Earl Thomas with our second 1st round pick since our biggest weakness on the defense is at the safety position.. Michael Lewis' career is over and Mark Roman is arguably the worst defensive back in league history; we need another playermaker in the secondary to go with D-Gold.

"He's the best player in the game. It's just that simple. There's nothing that Kobe Bryant can't do. He will defend your best player. He will shoot from the perimeter. He will get all in your mug, he will do whatever it takes. He is the most complete basketball player in the game today, bar none. He has an assassin's mentality." -- Stephen A. Smith

Eric Berry is the #1 safety coming out, not Mays. He's a top 5 pick for sure.

Mays last time I saw was projected to drop to the Pack. I woundn't really mind, but I think I'd rather have an OT in the 1st.

The latest from ESPN...

ESPN

The Senior Bowl gave players such as USC free safety Taylor Mays, Michigan defensive end Brandon Graham, Idaho guard Mike Iupati and others a chance to improve their first-round draft stock.

Starting Wednesday, 329 candidates for the 2010 NFL draft will arrive in Indianapolis for the 32-team scouting combine, but underclassmen will receive the main attention. Thanks to a deep group of underclassmen, the 2010 draft class is considered to be one of the richest in years.

Read furthur with the link. Talks about Colt McCoy, Suh and Gerald McCoy, Taylor May's 40 time, and etc.

Denver will be looking to address their need for center now that they released Wiegmann. They hopefully will select Pouncey if he's still there.

What do you guys think of Dexter McCluster from Ole Miss, this guy's stock has been on the rise lately.

I personally love this guy.. if Spiller is taken before our pick at 13, I hope we snag this guy with our 2nd round pick.. only thing I am scared of is him having a great combine and increasing his stock even more to where he wouldnt be there by the time we pick early in the 2nd round.. but he is going to be a good pro.. very shifty with the ability to play both RB and slot receiver.. tough to cover/tackle in open space and has breakaway speed and is always a homerun threat.

He's a specialist. You can use him in the back field, on kick/punt returns, line him up in the slot, etc etc etc. Only concern I have for him is that he's small.
