Its funny because he said West coast is better than South. That's like saying the det lions are better than the Steelers or the Colts

The south has produced some of the best artists hip hop has to offer. When you think of all the best hip hop artists...how many westcoast artists can you come up with?

Luda
TI
36 Mafia
Weezy
Scarface
Outkast (andre 3000)
Jeezy

Name me ONE relevant west coast artist...ONE?

who's talking about anything relevant? im talking all time

That entire list is pretty much...OLD.

Most of those artists don't even really fool with hip-hop anymore.

If the Westcoast's savior is Game, then salvation will be waiting for a while.

People on this site live in the past when it comes to music. Anything that has to do with Hip-Hop, whether it's "Lil Wayne eats an apple" or "Soulja Boy takes a dump" the thread turns into one big reminisce thread of how great Hip-Hop used to be.

If I wanted to listen to a bunch of people discuss how terrible today's _______ is and how great it used to be, I'd just pull some random old person off the street and ask them if they could tell me their life story.

That gangsta rap ish is dead. Get over it.

Gangsta rap might be dead, but hip-hop definitely isn't..well, not yet at least.

Just like the people living in the Jordan era. Get over it.

Jordan = Old school music
Kobe = New school music

Gotta accept it.

This kid said down south music is better than East Caast music. The people he listens to, is technically in the East, sooooo...... I guess he meant hiw music, vs the NY scene. :laughing:

But he listens to Wacka Flocka Flame, Gucci Mane & Soulja Boy. Those three vs ONE NY artist would lose :laughing:

Depends on if you're talking lyrically. It's not always about lyrical ability.

Yeah I probably didnt explain myself with my choice of words. But, this is what I was talking about:

"I know this world we live in is so cold and deceiving, but I keep my head up like my nose is bleeding."- Lil Wayne

From what I understood, you dont really care about deep music and "how terrible" the world is.

Have you ever listened to the artists mentioned above ? Today's music is nothing compared to the old school ... It's simple and plain. Old school rap is better than today's rap. I prefer to listen to some "old man's" music, rather than listen to those wack MC's that "run the game" today. Oh and most of the old school hip-hop isn't older than 20 years so there isn't much of a gap. Hell... The end of the Golden age of hip-hop was only 8 years ago .... Listening to this music and appreciating the real classics doesn't make us old people lol :laughing: ...

Gangsta rap as we know it is gone, but it's not dead overall ... It's just mostly underground. Gangsta rap doesn't sell discs nowadays...
