question for those who've played the online beta

how is gameplay stacked up to the better new-gen fps like call of duty 4 and 5 (because iono bout you guys, but for me, in terms of fps, cod 4&5 have gotta be top of the list)

its much more realistic. ur not gonna be running around at like full speed. ur gonna feel the weight of the weapons and armor when running or any movement at all. the frame rate is on spot, it doesnt slow down at all. its very consistent especially when there is a war ranging on in one area, where rockets, grenades are causing explosions everywhere. basically its madness when its a full game. there are bodies everywhere, they dont go away. blood splat on the walls which looks complete griddy when u shoot someone up against the walls, looks awesome.

EU PSN is releasing the demo on Thursday. You don't need to pre-order the demo if you download it from the EU PSN. :shifty:

Have any of you even played Killzone 1? If so, do you think it's necessary to play that before playing the sequel?

1. It's not necessary.

2. You can YouTube the cutscenes from Killzone 1 and/or go to Killzone.com to read the back story if you really want to know. I've watched some of the cutscenes, but I'll probably sit down the weekend before KZ2 comes out and watch them all.
