Whats up with the hate on STAT, the dude is an All-Star and a young star, I would trade Pau for him in an instant.

<_<

lol i wouldn't. STAT might be the better player, but he doesn't fit in the triangle as well. maybe in sim leagues lol

he also has an attitude problem and doesn't have defense in his vocabulary.

Like someone else said Amare is an all star type player but he doesn't fit here

How about another Bobcat trade?

Okafor isn't working out for them, maybe they can try for an up tempo thing.

How doesn't he fit? Jumper? Check. Power game? Check. The only thing he doesn't have is defense but that won't be a problem with Bynum and Kobe here. Plus hes young enough to be paired with Bynum for years to come.

stat is NOT the better player..

Pau = taller, longer, better post game, better passer, better jumpshooter, better defender, better overall skillset and ball IQ

Amare = more athletic...that's about it.

I wouldn't. Pau's a superior team player, superior post player.

Intelligence and basketball know-how matters huge as a second fiddle on the Lakers.

Pau destroys Amre in that sense. Amare is more athletic - that's it.

Gimme Pau over Amare every dang time. I still don't think people realize just how good Pau is. He doesn't do ESPN highlight dunks and for some reason some people equate that with talent, brains or skill.

Amare for Okafor wouldn't be terrible for either, but I think the Boozer thing would work out better for both.

If he does get dealt, its will for sure be to the East either way.

its not like we have to adjust to him, he has to adjust to us - the triangle, I just don't see that

jumper and power game is better but, what about passing ... the dude is a ball stopper on offense and ours is the most complex (imagine odom or ariza cutting to the basket and he just holds onto the ball, or imagine that play they repeatedly run where gasol is high post and he waits for the double team and passes it to odom who flashes from the baseline, it wouldnt happen) .... and defense would be a problem still even with bynum and kobe ... hell we ride gasol for not being a great defender, imagine STAT

Chad Ford: 30-40% Chance The Suns Move Amare

Jason (Culver City CA) [via mobile]: What are the chances of Amare Stoudemire getting traded before the deadline?

SportsNation Chad Ford: Last week I said 10 percent. But I think that was low. The more people I talk to in the league, the more I think it's something in the neighborhood of 30 to 40 percent. Steve Kerr and Robert Sarver are taking a hard look at the team right now. If they decide to blow it up, Stoudemire will be the first to go.

Oh man, I'd trade Odom for him in a heartbeat. We could have Gasol come off the bench and turn him into a Kevin McHale type of 6th man still playing 30 minutes a game.

But there are plenty of teams who want him and will give up young talent for him.

I don't get why their young all-star is on the trading block and not their older ones...

I'm getting the feeling that the Suns are going to get raped by someone.

Let's hope they send him East.
