Fan Nation:Posted ImageUntil their current slide, which includes consecutive road losses to the Celtics and Knicks and a home loss to the lowly Timberwolves, there was unanimity within the organization to ride through the rest of the season with the roster intact and resist the urge to make any more major changes. But the recent trend is so disturbing that rival executives believe the Suns have quickly changed course and are "re-evaluating" that position. At various times this season, the Suns have conveyed a willingness to move backup point guard Leandro Barbosa -- another Mike D'Antoni favorite -- if the right deal came along. Given Phoenix's lackluster play of late, CBSSports.com has learned that the organization might now be open to considering a much bigger deal -- one involving Amare Stoudemire. Stoudemire has made no attempt to hide his frustration with the 180-degree change in offensive approach from D'Antoni to Terry Porter, who has had little choice but to run the offense through Shaquille O'Neal in the post.

They should consider it, because the kid is walking when he's a free agent.

That Suns team is going to decimated within about a year and a half.

Shaq will be gone, Stoudemire will go elsewhere and Nash will run to New York as soon as he can.

If their salaries match and Boozer wasn't so dang hurt - that would be a good deal for both teams.

I do find it funny that the Suns are molding this team around a center that won't be there but for 1 more year. So you trade away all of these assets, piss off your other star players and all for the thought of winning the championship around a guy that is on the downside of his career.

There's no sense in what the Suns did with the Shaq trade, let alone how Kerr's destroyed this team since then.

Steve Kerr is a good guy, but as a GM his debut has been pretty dang auspicious.

Just not any lopsided deal to a contender, and I won't care.

Trade him to Portland for Aldridge. I think Gasol does better against Amare and this would weaken Portland in the long run.
"The way Steve is as a teammate, the way he sets the tone, the way the team kind of takes on his persona. As a coach, that's the best thing in the world. It's easy to coach. He's taking care of the chemistry. You just coach."

hes going to new york for nate robinson, david lee, wilson chandler 2 1st round picks watch

they get a nice core to build from instead of everyone leaving

watch him go to cleveland for wally, daniel gibson, jj hickson mirroring the gasol deal

the league would be screwed

It works in the trade machine.

(Not sure if this deal is what we need by anyway)

Cleveland wouldn't want him. He doesn't play defense. Even though it sounds like a dream come true for LeBron, Ferry wouldn't be interested, because he'd have to give up Varejao and probably Mo.

It would be wicked if Chicago or New York pulled off a deal to get him, though. Phoenix would love David Lee, or Hinrich and Tyrus.

you know what, you're right, Chicago could be the frontrunner and they could chase Amare like how they chased Gasol lol

Tyrus + Hinrich + 1st rounder for Amare

Aura is too selfish to play behind Lebron James, not to mention he won't get ANY of the spotlight... You know, with the way ESPN and especially Doug Collins riding Lebron's nuts...
