Guess we can’t win them all.
The Lakers blew a chance to all but lock in another title tonight with their four point loss in Orlando Tuesday night.
The Magic offense finally heated up as they shot 63% for the game, which is pretty unheard of the Finals. The Lakers themselves shot 51%, but they couldn’t hit any freethrows tonight. 10 misses from the stripe in a Finals game will not get it done.
Five Lakers scored double figures but it just seemed as if Orlando played a much more crisp game.
The Lakers don’t need to panic as they still hold a 2-1 series lead.
Now, the bests of the day…
Top 3 Laker Performers -
1) Pau played superb. 23 points on 9-11 shooting with 2 blocks.
2) Ariza did many of the little things today. He had 13 points and 7 boards with 2 steals.
3) Kobe put up a lot of points and had 8 assists, but his freethrow shooting and turnovers killed us. Kobe also shouldn’t hoist up 9 threes.
Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): Bynum needs to step up and get a double double already!
Play of the Night: Probably Luke’s give and go with Lamar early in the game.
What to Look for Next Game: A similar game with a different result.
Ticket Info: Game 6 tickets are on sale with full refunds. Might this be the closeout game? Email Steve@AveryTickets.com for info on how to lock these tickets up today!
