As expected, another easy win for the Lakers. They continued to show why they are one of the hottest teams in the NBA by routing the Twolves 117-92. The Lakers shot 48% from the field, hit 80% of their free-throws, and took care of the boards. The Lakers 51 rebounds were the key to the game. The Lakers got 51 boards because they held the Twolves to only 41% FGs and forcing 16 turnovers. The Lakers had 29 assists tonight, including Odom’s triple-double.

The Lakers filled the stats on defense tonight with 10 steals and 7 blocks as a team. While the Lakers bench came through again, it was the starters who each scored in double figures in limited minutes which won the game. The Lakers can go into the break well-rested. Now, the bests of the day…

Top 3 Laker performers:
1) As good as Pau played, you gotta give LO #1 tonight with his triple-double. 10 points, 16 boards, and 10 assists. Way to go Lamar!
2) PAU! 9-11 FGs (again), 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks. Only downer was his 0 assists and 3 turnovers.
3) Sasha played great, but Kobe still put up 29 points on 18 shots, including a perfect 13-13 at the stripe. He also had 5 boards, 5 assists, a steal, and a block.

Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): I hate giving a STD when the Lakers win in a rout, but since I gotta, let’s pick Coby Karl. Now I missed the game since I had class all night, but he shot 1-5 and missed all 4 threes. Even though Luke didn’t make a FG, he still had 3 boards, 4 assists, and 2 steals.

Key play of the game: Like I said, I missed the game. I did catch Sasha hit a three, so I’ll pick that.

What to look for next game: Look for Kobe to make the finals of the three-point content. Also, look for him to win another All-Star game MVP Trophy. Festivities begin Friday night.
