TLN’s Post-Game Report: Lakers vs. Pacers

Maybe it should rain every day in Los Angeles! The second rainy day in as many game days and the Lakers blew out another eastern conference opponent. Tonight, it was a 16 point blowout against the Pacers. The difference in the game was the third quarter, which the Lakers opened up shooting 11-14 from the field and blowing the game open to a 16 point lead.

The Lakers bench would come in the fourth and blow the lead. Then our backcourt came to life as Kobe and Fish blew it back open. The Lakers hit 10-18 threes and once again had many assists, 28 as a team, led by Luke’s 7. Unfortunately, the Lakers still had 19 turnovers. Now, the bests of the day:

Top 3 Laker performers:

1)
Andrew Bynum had 21 points in the first half. He finished with 23, 13 boards, and 4 blocks. He shot 8-11 FGs and 7-9 FTs.

2) Lamar Odom had an efficient game tonight. 13 points and 13 boards. 5-7 FGs, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, and only 1 turnover.

3) Dfish continued his lights out shooting. 6-13 FGs including clutch threes in the fourth. 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and a steal to go along.

Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): Since, I should have given Kwame the STD last game, I’ll give it to him tonight. He played awful once again. Forced up shots, including a free throw line contested shot? He also had 4 turnovers and played lazy defense.

Key play of the game: Lamar to Luke back to Lamar for an easy bucket. Pretty much sums up the game.

What to look for next game: Look for a game that should go down to the wire. Memphis is finally healthy and are playing well as a team. Game is Tuesday @ 5:00 PM on KCAL locally.
