While fans didn’t get Tacos tonight, they did get another W. Nine Lakers entered the game tonight — eight of them scored double figures. That is what I call balance!
The Lakers had 28 assists tonight and shot the ball over 51% from the field. One of the only downers was the fact that Salmons got to the hoop at will and the Lakers had 17 turnovers. I love it when the Lakers slack off and still win by 10.
Tonight was also a night where no Laker hit 34 minutes as the starters got plenty of rest.
Now, the bests of the night…
Top 3 Laker Performers -
1) Lamar came off the bench and hit 7 shots in 9 attempts. He also had 7 boards, 3 assists, a steal and a block. L.O. Show is back!
2) Ariza was impressive again. 11 points, 11 boards, 5 assists and 3 steals.
3) The only thing that keeps Kobe out of number one is his poor defense on Salmons who had an easy night at the rim. Kobe had 24 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals.
Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): This is tough. Fish is the only Laker who struggled from the field, but I don’t think he did bad. I’ll leave this up to you guys. Sound-off!
Play of the Game: Odom’s block and transition layup.
What to Look for Next Game: Another win against the Nets.
