TLN’s Post-Game Report: Lakers vs. Clippers

When the game started I told my friends, can we at least have it be close, and then just dominate in the end. I didn’t want to see Luke play the entire fourth in a blowout tonight. It turns out I got my wish as the Lakers trailed in the fourth, only to go on a huge run that couldn’t be answered by the Clippers.

The Lakers remained undefeated at the still winless Clippers expense.

The Lakers had a balanced attack with 8 players scoring 9 or more points tonight. Amazingly, the Lakers still put up 106 points despite shooting under 39% from the field, mostly due to the free throw attempts and offensive boards.

The Clippers really didn’t have an answer to the Lakers size even with Camby and Kaman inside as the Lakers got tons of boards and were fouled 32 times.

Now, the bests of the night…

Top 3 Laker Performers -

1) Bynum is back! 9 points, 17 boards, and 4 blocks. That’s all we need from our center.

2) Kobe led all players with 27 points, but also had 2 blocks and 2 steals tonight.

3) Lamar was very active tonight on his way to 15 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): Sasha was 1-5 and didn’t really do much for the Lakers tonight.

Play of the game: Ariza’s dunk off of Kobe’s airball floater. If you saw the game, you know what I mean.

What to Look for Next Game: The Lakers have a lot of time off. Next game isn’t until Sunday when the Lakers host the improved Rockets.
