When the game started I told my friends, can we at least have it be close, and then just dominate in the end. I didn’t want to see Luke play the entire fourth in a blowout tonight. It turns out I got my wish as the Lakers trailed in the fourth, only to go on a huge run that couldn’t be answered by the Clippers.

The Lakers remained undefeated at the still winless Clippers expense.

The Lakers had a balanced attack with 8 players scoring 9 or more points tonight. Amazingly, the Lakers still put up 106 points despite shooting under 39% from the field, mostly due to the free throw attempts and offensive boards.

The Clippers really didn’t have an answer to the Lakers size even with Camby and Kaman inside as the Lakers got tons of boards and were fouled 32 times.

Now, the bests of the night…

Top 3 Laker Performers

1) Bynum is back! 9 points, 17 boards, and 4 blocks. That’s all we need from our center.

2) Kobe led all players with 27 points, but also had 2 blocks and 2 steals tonight.

3) Lamar was very active tonight on his way to 15 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): Sasha was 1-5 and didn’t really do much for the Lakers tonight.

Play of the game: Ariza’s dunk off of Kobe’s airball floater. If you saw the game, you know what I mean.

What to Look for Next Game: The Lakers have a lot of time off. Next game isn’t until Sunday when the Lakers host the improved Rockets.

Ticket Info: Uppers starting at $50 each. Lowers at $125 each. Email me at Steve@AveryTickets.com or call 818-387-8224 and mention TLN.

Go Lakers!

ok, so Fish can’t drive or any of that stuff. but c’mon you gotta admit he still gets us out of ruts. still a clutch outside threat.

    yah, great boards by bynum!

but we gotta make our free throws. i can’t believe we still kinda suck at that.

If Bynum can stay out of early foul trouble, I believe he’s gonna punk Yao around like a short Chinese kid!

Well, by the looks of it, we are getting some good ones next week. NOH on the 2nd night of a back 2 back on the road. Eh, we might only win that one by about 8 or 9. :)

Late in the 4th quarter Lamar made some classic Lamar Bonehead plays, showing once again that he has to be one of the dumbest players in the league. On one play he turns the ball over on a bad pass then while falling out of bounds he flips the ball in under the Clippers basket to two waiting Clippers for a layup. On another he grabs a rebound then manages to wrap the ball behind his back and right out of bounds. Fortunately the Lakers were playing the hapless Clipers and were able to score 22 straight points to turn a 2 point deficit into a 20 point lead.

Love Ariza’s effort. The Lakers Defense kept us in the game. The offense was missing for most of the game.

I don’t know if anyone else is noticing but I think Lamar is being much more aggressive.

I’ve noticed how Lamar continues to demonstrate his lack of intelligence and low IQ.

You have to give the devil his due, LO had 15 points and 9 boards in 29 minutes of play. Yes, he made bonehead plays, but in the same fashion you’ll take a 6’9 center, I’ll take 15 points and 9 boards from a player off the bench any day.

  • ShortDiezel

this is a game that last year the Lakers possibly would of lost, but this year you can see their determination.. they didn’t have the best shooting game, especially Radmon but they did what it took to get the W.. i am very impressed

Thats why PJ shifts him to the 6th and let him play out of his contracts. LO is not gonna improve his low b-ball IQ, thats the way he plays. He has BAD decision making skills for a G/F, plus hes 29 y/o today. You just cant teach the old dog. Let him play the 6th and keep him there by the year end we can renegociate at a much lower price for non-starter price or he can bye, bye.

    We the best.

  • lakerschamps09

i know kobe had 27 points but he sucked… he missed so many shots he always makes. and he needs to avg at least 6 assists per game no excuses.. and pau needs to shoot the ball more.. but bynum and ariza and lo played really good…

  • YoYo

I think Lakers will lose the next game with Houston. My bet: 103-96 Houston Rockets!

smush walton, you are the dumbest f*ck on this websight. Everytime I read your comments you always have something neg. to say about every player, on every article. So f*ck you man. I bet you are some fat 30 year old f*ck that sits on TLN, or any website all d*mn day and talks sh*t about everything. So go kill yourself. So with all that said all you guys that talk sh*t about our player needs to shut the f*ck up and be thankful that we have such a great GM that made all these moves to make us the great team that we are. That also reminds me is when KOBE made that statement saying “do something and do it know,” all you guys had something to say about MITCH and now he built this great team, made all these great moves to get us here, all you guys praise him. And I hope David brikely reads this message on next week’s VOICE OF THE NATION to show how much of a dumb ass you are.

So yeah I will put where I live and all that stuff.

Its good to see someone make a comment about not wanting to see walton play the entire 4th. Frankly I really dont want to see him play at all. Can you believe he makes what is it somewhere between $4-5million a year???? I can’t believe it..I think people are somehow enamored by the last name…plus he is intelligent as a player, but still looks like a college player to me..I couldn’t see any other team tripping over themselves to acquire him..maybe it is just me..but as someone that doesn’t make that kind of money..i can’t believe he does….I think we should get rid of him..if there is a way that makes sense..that last name just gives him staying power I guess…props to farmar..coming along..bynum is looking out of place so far…i think odom in the 6th is a good spot..go lakers

  • Greg Abare

Get rid of Smush Walton!!!!! I agree!!!

How dare you say something negative about Luke, Lamar, Bynum or any other Laker! Mind numbed Kool-Ade drinkers like “LakerNation” might get his panties all in a bunch and start throwing around a lot of words with *’s in them!

Yeah, when when a Laker goes 2 for 10 or makes continual bonehead plays that most high school freshman wouldn’t make or a star player shows up AFTER midnight at a nightclub the night before the team has to fly to a crucial game 6 of the NBA finals everyone needs to drink the Kool-Ade, sing Kum-Ba-Ya the Lakers can do no wrong and Mitch is a genius!

Well the fact of the matter is Mitch is no Jerry West. Signing Luke for 6 years is laughable. And Lamar is in his 10th season and he still is figuring out his game and plays most of the time like he is still feeling the effects of his pothead days. So have another glass of Kool-Ade numb nuts!

F*ck man thank you. Atleast I’m not the only one that thinks this guys is a fool.
