What a start to a road trip! You can pretty much sum this game up for the Lakers with 29 assists and only 11 turnovers. Almost a 3-1 ratio there. The Lakers only shot 43%, but got to the line 28 times sinking 23 of them. They also grabbed 17 offensive rebounds, and just played a great overall team game.
Our bigs did a great job keeping Ben Wallace off the boards and help him to 5 all game. Deng was the only Bull that really hurt us, with 26 points. The Lakers had all 5 starters score double figures and were led by Sasha with 19 off the bench. Now, the bests of the night…
Top 3 Laker performers:
1) Andrew Bynum was controlling the paint tonight. 17 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, and 4 blocked shots. Best of all, Ben Wallace only had 2 and 5 tonight.
2) Lamar Odom was solid all nit. He had 17 points on 6-11 shooting, grabbed 16 boards, and didn’t have a turnover all night (finally!)
3) Sasha came off the bench and provided the spark we needed. 19 points on 10 shots, including 2 threes. Great game Sasha!
Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest):
Vlad Rad seemed kinda out of it tonight. 0-3 in 10 minutes and didn’t have much of an impact.
Key play of the game: Bynum’s tip dunk off Farmar’s missed floater.
What to look for next game: A fun game to watch. Should be a fast paced game. Hopefully we get to see Kobe and LBJ guard each other. Game is Thursday night @ 5:00 PM (Also on TNT).
