TLN’s Post-Game Report: Lakers vs. Bucks

bynumbucks.jpgIt wasn’t a blowout, but a win is a win. The game wasn’t as close as the score indicated. It was a night where every Laker fan at Staples was supposed to get free tacos by holding the Bucks to under 100. Instead, the Bucks decided that down 10 with 20 seconds remaining was worth fouling for.

So they fouled us, giving them another possession and hitting a three pointer to end the fans hopes of 2 free tacos. But now back from my rant and on to the game! It was another offensive explosion by the Lakers—110 points on 22 assists. The Lakers shot 46% from the field and 10-21 three pointers.

The shooting downer was only 67% free throws. 13 turnovers was average for this team, but better than most past games. The Lakers had 8 steals and 7 blocks tonight and rotated very well to make those happen. Now, the bests of the night:

Top 3 Laker performers:

1) Andrew Bynum is a monster. He outplayed Bogut tonight. 25 points on 13 shots. 17 boards (6 offensive) and 3 blocks to go along with 0 turnovers. Great game Bynum!

2) Kobe was Kobe again. 37 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 turnover, and 2 steals. Stats say it all.

3) Farmar came off the bench and hit 3 big threes for the Lakers. When it wasn’t Fish’s night, Farmar made up for him. 13 points, 3 assists, and a block.

Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): D-Fish just didn’t have it tonight. 3-13 FGs, 1-5 threes, and wasn’t in rhythm all night.

Key play of the game: You pick—Kobe’s oop to Bynum for the one handed jam or Kobe’s behind the head to Ariza for the reverse dunk.

What to look for next game
: An easy W again. Pau is coming off a 45 point game, but let’s see how he does against Bynum. Game is Sun night @ 6:30 PM (FSN locally).
