Is the Lakers defense that good or are the Bucks that offensively challenged? The Bucks shot 38% from the game and scored only 31 points the entire first half. If the second unit hadn’t let up in the fourth, it would have been a complete embarrassment.

The Lakers won their 17th game of the season tonight as all 5 starters scored double figures. Once again it was a balanced attack and good shooting. Unfotunatly, the Lakers decided to turn the ball over 25 times, but their defense made up for it.

An interesting stat–not one starter on the Bucks scored double figures, while 5 bench players did.

Now, the bests of the night…

Top 3 Laker Performers

1) Bynum had 14 points and 14 rebounds to go with his 2 blocks. Also 6-6 from the stripe.

2) D-Fish cracks the top three with his 19 points and 5 steals.

3) Kobe’s 20 points and 8 assists were just what the Lakers needed.

Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): Farmar shot 1-6 and missed layups. 2 turnovers. Bad game, Jordan.

Play of the Game: The oop to Kobe to start the second half.

What to Look for Next Game: Bynum vs. Shaq. Enjoy it.

Ticket Info: Suns come in town Wednesday night and tickets start at $55 each. Email me at or call 818-387-8224 and mention TLN.

Go Lakers!

    sun yue finally played! :P

  • go2act

I am glad that Sun Yue played. And although he got 4 fouls, played a good game.

  • Whatsa

    For the record:

I don’t think the author of the article even cared about the Kings, so he moved on to Wednesday against the Suns lol.

    Tuesday: Queens
    Wednesday: Suns

at some point the lakers have to understand that farmar is not an nba level pg. when ever he enters the games the lakers lose big leads… he misses layups, turns the ball over, and plays zero d-fense. as good as mitch has been with drafting, it is time for him to bite the bullet and trade farmar for a pg that can play d and run an offense.

  • ojt

luke hopefully does not recover as sun yue probably can play better with more time in.Let luke stay waxing the bench, wiping the floor of fluids, looking goofy as s**t.LA does not need this moron lets get him out.

wow you should follow another sport…lol…

    i needed a good laugh…thanks…

Someone needs to tell this second unit to KEEP ATTACKING… they are relaxing and playing out of the paint. Farmar has taken a step back instead of forward. They really need to get back in that mood. Lamar is VERY VERY PASSIVE… what is happening with this guy… he hasnt scored in double digits recently… HE NEEDS to wake up first and put the second unit on his back

As sad as it sounds golakers75 has a point… and i wouldnt laugh at him. Farmar is hitting a slump and needs to improve defensively before anything.

  • tamir

The Kings game aside, I would be surprised if Shaq actually played on the game on Wednesday. That game is also the 2nd of a back to back for the Suns and their policy with him is to always let him rest on the 2nd of a back to back. However, knowing Shaq’s desire to fuel the media, I wouldn’t be that surprised if he played either

Any team could beat any team on any given night. Just like with indiana. We slept on this team and they came back and beat us. So my point is, don’t take the queens for granit.

  • LakersLive FromDC

If only we can trade Vlad for Villanueva and Sessions(or just Charlie V.),that world be the icing on the cake.

  • kaynam24

well with da speed n athleticism u would think farmar will b able to play great d but he cant keep guys in front of him ex. dwill ai nash as much as i like da guy he gotta play better d n be a leader out there cuz odom doesnt want to take dat role it seems

  • LakersLive FromDC

Sun Yue should get more time.By the time Feb./March comes around he could be a factor major factor..him and Powell, especially if “certain” guys keep screwing up.

  • pr0mega

Are you guys kidding me? Sun Yue looked completely terrible. I don’t care if it was his fist game or not, the dude can’t even bring the ball up the court without turning it over and then fouling the crap out of the guy who just robbed him… Overrated.

  • LakersNo1

SUN YUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! need to get your jersey.

  • sketch

[Comment ID #56346 Will Be Quoted Here]

yeah, i think i saw his jersey for $9.99 @ tj maxx. LOL!

i keep seeing everyone with their inputs of trading this guy for that and so on and so forth. i would like to get rid of a few dead weights on the team as well as some underachieving fools but the fact of the matter is the triangle offense is not an easy offense to learn.

it takes guys a couple of seasons to get the understanding of it and to be comfortable in it. it was a natural fit for gasol because he’s a big and he’s a natural passer from the post, but for anyone else it would be almost an impossible task.

for that reason, i think that i’d rather keep the likes of vlad, sasha, luke, and LO and not even toy with the idea of a trade anymore. i think that a regular offense that boston runs, they can easily insert a new guy and they’d fit in. that’s their advantage over us. so, if they want to pick up starbury then they can easily do so without it affecting their efficiency to run their offense.

i hope that we buckle down on our defense and are ready to step up to the plate to play 48 solid minutes with boston on Christmas day. we need that one bad!!!

  • LakersLive FromDC

You right about that, sketch…but can we still talk dream trade, just for fun like Vlad for..wooooooow,

  • sketch

[Comment ID #56352 Will Be Quoted Here]

Sh*t, if that’s the case DC…tell you what, I’d definitely pick up G-force! Can’t be any worse on offense, no matter how inconsistent he’s been and he’s a huge get on the defensive end for us. I can see him putting Paul Pierce aka “the faker” or “pudgy” to the ground with a monster block! I can also see him hanging with KG when it comes to bangin for boards!

  • LakersLive FromDC

    Iamgine this line-up next season…Farmar/Kobe/G-Force/Pau/AB,

    2nd unit,Sasha/Ariza/Rudy Gay/LO/Pau or AB…DYNASTY!!!

We get to see RUDY regularly…WITH ARIZA AND KOBE,75-9!!!

[Comment ID #56363 Will Be Quoted Here]

75-9??????? Last time I checked there was only 82 games in a season.

[Comment ID #56348 Will Be Quoted Here]

AMEN dude. Couldn’t agree with you anymore.

[Comment ID #56335 Will Be Quoted Here]

Yeah but he’s right. YUE always fouls players, he had 4 in his 6 min of playing time. WTF is that dude. I think that is a record for most fouls in a quarter my a single player. I will give YUE credit that his game has improved a little bit since PRESEASON. I don’t know about YUE tho. When Coby karl played for us he showed a lot more basketball IQ, didn’t really turn the ball over, pretty good shooter, and I even think he kinda had our TRIANGLE down. All Coby lacked was he wasn’t a skilled player.

Check the side for whos hot and whos not

  • LakersLive FromDC

    That’s with Rudy Gay.
