The Lakers continued their dominance away from home tonight with a 106-97 victory in Charlotte. It was led by the Lakers all night, but the game wasn’t put out of reach until the final minute. The Lakers played a good clean game offensively, shooting 50% from the field and 85% from the line.

The Lakers had 24 assists on the night and only 13 turnovers. However, on defense, they gave up 50% shooting and 12 offensive boards to the Bobcats. Felton had a monster game tonight scoring 29 points and dishing out 8 assists. Also get this, Gasol and Odom played only 60 minutes combined. Now, the bests of the night:

Top 3 Laker performers:

1) PAU!!! 26 points on 9-11 shooting, 6 boards, 6 assists, only 1 turnover and 2 blocks. Stats say it all.

2) Kobe again finishes in the top 2 punch for the Lakers. 31 points on 9-17 shooting, including 4 threes and 9-9 from the stripe. He also had 5 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks (DPOY maybe?)

3) Many other Lakers played well including Ronny and Farmar, but Lamar quietly did the little things for the Lakers tonight. 8 points on 6 shots, 10 boards, 5 assists, a steal and a block.

Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): Even though Fisher shot 1-8, he still helped do the little things. Tonight, Sasha was careless with the ball and didn’t have his jumper going. He needs to pump fake before he passes!

Key play of the game: Kobe’s dunk from Gasol in the paint.

once we get our whole team back its a wrap

    Great game!!

WOOOHOO! You’re going down your garnett-less wolves

  • Tim

i would say the play of the game is the Lamar to Gasol fastbreak alleyoop during the final minutes of the game

  • Phant0M

I said we were going to go 7-2 once we acquired Gasol.

    Will I be correct?

  • jack

I am tellig u guys… its the free throws. if we do good, we win. (at least all the games this year when we make use of free baskets, we win )

Has anyone been listening to me? If you don’t beleive me, check out the stats every game.

haha funny how lamar gets in the top 3 with those stats now that we have gasol…i always thought he was the best 3rd option in the game…and he is a perfect fit for the lakers because when bynum gets back, im sure he will be comfortable with maybe being the 4th option…anybody else who we would trade for him with odom would not accept that…so big ups to lamar….LAKERS FOR LIFE!!!!

Luke Walon should be a permanent STD, the man is a cancer. He didn’t have much to begin with besides his smart plays, but he doesn’t make smart plays anymore and is in the worst physical condition of his career. Just awful.

I think they should have blown them out. But still a win. They need to tighten it up more. Maybe when Bynum comes back. And Ariza.

  • Thomas

When we get Andrew Bynum back we will win the West and the Finals are calling.

  • True Lakers Fan

bring back C’s and the Lake Show guaranteed

    Beat Minnesota!!!

  • Lakers2410

Us making the NBA Finals is al up to how Bynum reacts to his 1st ever big injury! If he reacts well, then we’ll make it, if he doesn’t, well…let’s just say our prayers if that happens…

i saw an interview a while back that asked phil jackson if he thinks the team is a championship team and he said well we have a 9 game road trip and well see how we do on that if we can win almost all of them then i believe we could be.

what do u know we are about to 7-2 and i think that were headin to the FINALS!!!!!

I agree, Bynum’s injury is a key factor in this years playoff run. Don’t be surprised if it takes him some time to return to his old self. We may not see him catch another lob for a while. I know it may seem like a long time from now but championship dreams are a little more realistic next season.

Once again Luke shows how worthless he is. I am STILL waiting for one game where Luke doesn’t get blocked going for a layup. He’s been blocked once a game for as long as I can remember going for layups. Keep this fool off the court already.

  • lakerz

hey dudes! i had a dream that in the finals kobe throws a lob to bynum and garnett gets posterized!!!
and then it gets wierd with jessica alba naked in my r….
im not going that far, but i really think bynum is coming back 100% healthy

That last comment about Garnett getting posterized WILL COME TRUE,matter of fact when you go to sleep tonight Ray Allen will get posterized by LO,I don’t know about the Jessica part, maybe I can call her up for you….Sike!
