There’s not too much you can say about this game because it never actually got to the point where it was much of a game at all.

The Lakers went in to Oklahoma City and completely over-matched the Thunder and never ended up giving that double digit lead. Thank you!

Holding the Thunder under 90 points on 41% shooting was also encouraging to see tonight, especially how we’ve been playing defense lately. It was also see some good play out of Shannon Brown, who ended the night with 4 points.

Player of the Game: Pau Gasol had a pretty good all around game, ending the night with 14 points on 7 of 13 shooting, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Play of the Game: Finally getting to see AMMO play more than two minutes in a game! Oh, and that Shannon Brown dunk was cool, too.

What’s Up Next: Lakers head up to the Palace to square off with the Pistons.

  • ScorpyDoo

Play of the game should be the pass of kobe to ariza on the break

Great all-around game by the Lakers. Let’s catch Cleveland and take over the best record!!

Kobe’s suspect Field Goal Percentage of late needs to be addressed:

    Pts FG% FT
    Portland – 26 11-29 2-2
    Houston – 37 14-23 7-10
    San ANtonio- 23 9-21 4-4
    Dallas- 28 11-20 3-3
    Philly- 11 5-15 0-0
    Golden St.- 21 9-25 1-1
    Chicago- 28 10-25 6-10
    OKC- 19 6-18 6-6

He’s still producing over 24ppg, so his overall point output is holding up, but its only 42% shooting in the last 8 games. Granted that he is a perimeter player that launches more ‘longer range’ jumpers than people playing under the basket, I’m curious to see if anyone has info on how many field goal attempts he makes where he doesn’t get hacked, vs how many he plain misses with no contact.

about time! this is what i’m talkin about! our Lakers just need to keep flushin these fools down the drain! this way, the starters can keep restin and the bench can get some more reps in. great win!

yeah i think kobe was trying to drive more today but he was still missing too many shots for the reigning MVP. he was 6-18 today. he needs to let his shot come to him instead of jacking up long range jumpers.

  • Beef

Man,Kobe looks tired,i think he should sit out easy games like this!

  • sketch

i think that kobe’s puttin too much pressure on himself and his team. he was much looser last year when the Lakers weren’t expected to take the Westeren Conference. now that they’re favorite to win it, he’s puttin way too much on his own shoulders to shoot the Lakers to victory. he’ll still hit his game-on-the-line shots because he’s cold blooded that way. i think that homie just needs to relax some.

  • bassti

Pau half-court sprint was pretty cool. Too bad he missed.

  • Jake

Man, those were nice dunks by Brown. That guy is a sick athlete.

The Pau outlet to Kobe on the break, with the Kobe behind the back to Ariza play was nice, too. Then Pau’s full court coast-to-coast would have been excellent if he had finished. haha. Good to see it was still a highlight. :)

What’s wrong with Sasha? Can you imagine getting 3 million for 3 years, and do nothing? What has happened to his shooting? He can’t play…they messed up when they gave him all that money. They should have let him go to Europe. Maybe if he would cut his hair, he’d play better.

  • kobe8

Kobe does look tired but i’m never worried about him coz he’s gonna break out of the slump soon.

  • e-bucher

does any one edit these “post game reports”…no disrespect intended…but…i thought my english was bad…

  • lakerman1

Sasha gets 5 mil for 3 years about 6 mil to much for this years production.

  • machine lover

all you sasha haters are so immature its not even funny. at least he can play better basketball then your asses ever could.

It was also good to see some good play out of Shannon Brown, who ended the night with 4 points.

and ps please note and remember that sashas role is different this year he doesnt necessarily need to just score but contribute on the other end of the floor which he did. so just srsly stfu about sasha and talk about somthing else for once. its not like he caused a game loss for us. we got the w and thats all that matters.

Kobe will never win another title. He cannot lead his team to the promise land. He is not Paul Pierce, Ray Allen , or Kevin Garnett.

New Zen Master??? HAHAHA, what a load of bullsh*t. Doc Rivers is a hack coach. What was his record before KG and Ray Allen? HAHAH, it was very ZEN, I can tell you that much. HAHAHAHA.

Also, Doc Rivers’ coaching isn’t all that. The only good coach Boston has is Tom Thibodeau. All their other coaches are crap!

    DOC RIVERS IS A HACK!

You better hope the “zen” of Doc Rivers saves the Suckdics from dropping to the #4 spot in the East. HAHAHAHAHA
