Announced on KCAL9, the Los Angeles Lakers have cancelled their pre-season game against the Jazz and have donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross. Fans can get refunds for their tickets and as the Lakers do, we here at Lakers Nation have our thoughts and prayers with all the families and people that are affected by the fires around San Diego and all around California for that matter.

You can help the Amercian Red Cross by clicking on the image we have put on the left.

Once again, no game on Thursday.

This is f-u-c-k-e-n rediculous! Jazz guard Price looses the handle on the ball and it’s on it’s way to be a turnover bounces of the official in the sideline back to Price’s hand’s and they let that go.WOW!!! the NBA needs to do something about these lame a$$ officials. Why the f-u-c-k is there no system to punish officials who are f-u-c-k-i-n-g up???They need to be held acountable for their mistakes, sh!t like this makes me question the prestige of the NBA witch is already very shaky!!!Give me a break that was realy stupid. And yes even @ a pre-season game the non calls for Kobe have already started F-U-C-K T-H-A-T!!!!!!!

Your prayers will probably be listened to more if you stop the hating.

  • fatty

We argue a little from time to time, but the hatred stuff is not cool.

I’m glad the game was cancelled and the Lakers stepped up to donate some money to the Red Cross. My brother in N. San Diego and sister in Lake Arrowhead have been evac. My other brother near San Bernardino has been told to prepare, just in case. My nephew is a firefighter. Man, this is some serious stuff Socal is going thru. Our thoughts are with everyone affected.

PS. The Lakes could really use some practice court time at El Segundo, than a game anyway. That game was butt ugly.

Actualy guy’s, i think that the Lakers (Buss) can afford to donate a little more than 100,000 dollars. And yes i do think it’s devestating to see the damage that all these fires are causing.I guess i’ll take my complaints about the reff’s elsswhere…SORRY IF I CAME OFF LIKE I AM INSENSITIVE ABOUT THE FIRE’S, I GUESS WHEN IT COMES TO THE LAKERS I TEND TO BE OBLIVIOUS OF THE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE!!!MY BAD

Its $100,000. Didn’t notice the typo.

    Fixed it.

Geez LD2k, get with the program. Haha

  • MILO

Well Buss’s stingy a$$ still fell short on his donation.(OF TOPIC)I mean it’s not like he is going to be paying a luxury tax for this mediocre Laker team. Why not pick up Shawn Marion and pay up,

The donation wasn’t something that he had to do. It was a good move.

The Lakers are still a business. $100,000 is pretty generous.
