The Lakers recent chemistry is only going to increase and lead to a dominant post-season run. Check out a few things (and numbers) about this team that aren’t really being talked about.

  • The Lakers are now #1 in Point Differential at 6.7
  • The Lakers also have the most home wins (26)
  • The Lakers have the fewest road losses (9) in the league.
  • They are 1/2 game behind the Cavs for league’s best record, 42-14 (though Cavs own the tie-breaker 2-0)
  • Kobe Bryant has been resting up for a near two weeks; a healthy Kobe is coming back Tuesday
  • BE_A_LakerFan

    Lakers 2010 Champs. Period.

Kobe Bryant has been resting up for a near two weeks; a healthy Kobe is coming back Tuesday .

Wow, that sounds really scary.. I´m glad I´m a laker fan :)

The cream always rises to the top.
Let’s not forget that this 1/2 game lead is still deceptive since the Lakers are the top ranked team in strength of schedule among the top contenders. The Cavs are the lowest ranked.

Where is strength of schedule quantified? Is that Hollinger’s rankings?

      • 242LakerFan

That’s according to It’s part of their Power Rankings chart. It’s basically the combined winning percentage of the team’s opponents.

    • LGM10

It evens out in the end if by “strength of schedule” u mean a early home heavy one for the lakers.

It would even out if everyone played the same scedule, but teams play two thirds of their schedule against their own Conference, thus weakening the schedules of every EC team as opposed to WC teams. Plus, you can’t play games against yourself. Therefore, schedules will differ in strength at the end of the season.

And unlike the cavs now, have not lost 3 in a row…that’s worth looking at.

    • 242LakerFan

      Good point…and nice avatar!

man that Jamison trade has really helped them LOL.

      • Green Flannel

they are doing all they can to keep LeBron but it isn’t working.

  • http://57.amklac Charles Barkley

    • 242LakerFan

How do you even have time to post on this blog? Aren’t you due to whip out your leBronze polish and get back to work shining his knob?

      • Charles Barkley.

I have no life: The recession has devoured any chances of me finding a job again, I have no friends, and my girlfriend left me for another woman. Now all i have to look forward to is envying Laker fans and parading Lebron’s nut sack.

        • Laker101

Nicely put Barkley, nicely put, lmfao

  • lakers2000

One word,… Phil Jackson! I will never doubt this team with Jackson coaching Kobe Bryant and his very capable team mates. I can’t wait for the play offs, but I feel this team will pull things together and show the league why we are the defending champs. let’s go Lakers!!!!!!!

  • Green Flannel

hello world is me when i am at school. just a little tid bit. lol

  • Mr Kb

    We want tacos!

  • Actually…

According to, Lakers are #2 at point differential. Other than that, I guess the numbers are okay. They’re just too close to the Cavs to be excited about anything.

  • CS

The lakers have the most home wins and least road loses? Don’t they have the most home games and the fewest away games?

    • 242LakerFan

They did at one point, due to a home heavy early schedule, but this far into the season, after a couple of road trips, things have evened out.

    • drive-for-16th

spurs played the least road game
