Ocho!HOOPSWORLD.COM: The first few days of the free agency period have passed and Los Angeles Laker fans are wondering where is Kevin Garnett?

LA has been Garnett’s “fantasy” destination for years. Ask the diehard fan and they say it’s inevitable, Garnett WILL be a Laker.

The reality is Garnett is on the Minnesota Timberwolves and may never play in LA except as a visitor, but that’s such a killjoy . . . forget about that for the moment.

Recently it looked like LA actually had a shot after team owner Dr. Jerry Buss spoke with Wolves owner Glen Taylor. While a dialogue was established, the draft passed without a deal.

A wild four-way trade was broached with Jermaine O’Neal, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, Al Jefferson, Garnett and various picks swapped between the Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, Wolves and Lakers.

Apparently the Celtics were reticent to trade away their promising young forward in Jefferson for the expensive and oft-injured O’Neal.

It’s no surprise the talks collapsed under their own weight. To expect three executives (who happen to be ex-Celtics) to gift-wrap the former league MVP in Garnett to the Lakers is probably too much to ask.

Still, summer fantasies are a lot more fun than harsh realities . . . here’s one to chew on for a few days.

This sounds great!!!!, but keep Sasha , cause a Kobe,Sasha, KG trio would be great!!!!!! And If I was the Lakers GM Kobe and Sasha would be my untouchables, But if Sasha goes I would probly want Kirk Hinrich.

Why keep Bynum? he is not even a half way desent starter or player. He is not a winner. All he does is sit on the bench and when he is on the court he does nothing. He does not make the team better he makes the team worst.

But people do say he is going to be a force and that may be true, but he shown he is takeing to long to be a force. Getting KG to L.A. is very smartt by both GM’s. The reason is that KG is already good. And he will help Kobe even better then Bynum does.

If bynum turns out to be a great player so be it. You can always get Bynum back in L.A. to help out Kobe at the end of his career in L.A. Lamar and Bynum my do even better with the Wolves and this would them a chance to learn about basketball even better trust me!!!!!!!!!

This would be great for KG and Bynum and this would give them probly championship rings. KG NOW, and Bynum LATER.
It is like now and later.

Anyway this would be great for next season:
    PG: Derek Fisher
    SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Ron Artest or Sasha Vujivic
    PF: Kevin Garnett
    C: Chris Mihm
This is from a TRUE LAKERS-KOBE’s FAN HEART!!!!!!

Sasha would be a terrible forward, he wouldn’t be able to handle defense at that position, he can barely handle defense period
