Stephen A. Smith: Kobe upset at lack of deals & Garnett still not asking out?

Stephen A. SmithSteven A. Smith came on ESPN today and talked about Kobe’s future. He claims Kobe is “disgusted” at the fact that management did not pull the trigger for other stars to play alongside him. Smith says, Lakers had a legit shot at landing Baron Davis, Boozer and Jason Kidd in respective deals in the past. According to Smith, his pretty upset that the Lakers have not taken a chance.

But, not all is lost as we found out that Jim Buss promises to “go after a big name player” this off-season. We here of course are carrying the torch for Kevin Garnett to be THE GUY to get. Yet, Steven A. Smith also talked about Garnett and how he is puzzled – along with other guys in the league – why he has not tried to get out of Minnesota considering the circumstances. Sounded to me he wants Garnett to ask out and it’s a pretty well known fact that Steven A. Smith is with us in the “Get Garnett” movement.

Sounds to me like Kobe should give Garnett a call and at least talk to the man about coming to Los Angeles. These two superstars struggling in their primes coming together is what everyone wants. Stop the suffering andget Kobe Brant and Kevin Garnett united.

Below is the YouTube video, where you can watch the whole segment. Smith even goes on to say if things don’t shape up, “don’t be surprised if Kobe Bryant asks to be traded.”
