Here is a very interesting statistic.

  • Since the NBA switched to the 2-3-2 format in 1985, only one team has managed to come back to win the NBA Finals after losing the first two games.
  • The 2006 Mavericks were the one team to choke collapse.

hopefully we wont let that happen!!

Here’s a revelation from seeing a game (Game 2) live from great seats: reffing an NBA game is not as hard as it looks.

I’ve followed all the NBA ref stories and “knowledgable” types keep saying how impossible it is to ref these super fast, super human athletes.

Granted, they are bigger and somewhat faster that your average YMCA league players, but I could see every foul called quite clearly during the game from my vantage point, some 25 feet or so off the court.

It is all very visible and audible. The problem is that the refs ANTICIPATE certain fouls from certain players, mainly Andrew Bynum. They are calling what they expect, not what they actually see.

This is where having highly experienced refs is actually a disadvantage: they expect a particular foul from a particular players because they’ve seen that player commit that foul 50 times before.

Anyway, great game, but the live experience really taught me something.

No collapse from the Mavs in 06, but simply, a predisposed & completed series outcome: taken over, decided, and delivered, by the bums in the black and gray uni’s… And there was no doubt about it!

as long as Salvatore doesn’t ref the next games, we’ll be fine.

The Mavs Choked. The Heat were the Champions. Can not blame it on the refs. The Mavs blow a 13 point lead with 6 minutes left in the game. They had their chance and BLEW IT.

The Lakers might blow it in Orlando. Keep your eyes pealed. We Magic men will be in the record books. See you all in Orlando…go Magics!

Hey Dwight, have you seen your new commercials? Are you still mad that Nike’s marketing department is 10x better than Adidas’?? You need to tell your people that your new commercials are garbage and not to even waste their time until you’ve won a ring. Notice how I said “a” ring, as in….singular. Kobe has timeless commercials because he has “many” or “multiple” rings, as in…..more than one. Lebron was just lucky to be grouped in with Kobe on those ad spots.

Hey Howard, I wonder when we win, will you not reply here anymore?

Really think about your posts and you won’t look so stupid. Seriously dude you are really stupid. Your rants have no support. No wonder you spend your time all over the internet making laker posts everywhere. You probably got no life living in mommy’s basement.

The more ab4sure follows me around this site, the clearer it becomes that I’ve probably been debating with a seemingly 12 year olds’ inferior complex, as his frustrated little boy comebacks would attest!
…I should be ashamed of myself, 4 sure!
