He made a great career move, he can really shine in LA like he has the past 2 years.

L.A. Times: Brown, who mulled over offers from several teams, officially signed his contract Wednesday. “This has been the best fit, the best spot, the best everything for me,” Brown said at a news conference at the Lakers’ training facility in El Segundo. “I sat down and evaluated all the situations from the money to the teams to my potential role on the team. And this has been at the top, No. 1 on the list.”

Happy you decide to return to LA.

isn`t talking about shannon brown kind of like eating off the roach coach?

  • iPost

“Returning was an easy decision”; o’rly , guess that’s why it took him a month or so to make that decisions.

  • Pho Kim Long

Shannon Brown is garbage. He thought he was going to get a 4yr/20million dollar deal, but no one is that stupid.

    • Mike

MInnesota gave Darko Milicic 4yr/$20 million… so I’d say yes there are teams/people that are that stupid.

  • Flow

Actually Brown is critical to the success of the Lakers. Kobe needs rest, Shannon is the first option off the bench, (thanks to Sasha, who nobody seems to want), Questionable jumper and decisions but he does bring athleticism, effort and and excitement at 2 mil a year, a good price. Which is admirable considering he was actually offered more to go to New York which although not a good team, is a nice place to play and will get nicer when they get Carmelo Anthony next year. Now Sasha and Luke at 5 mil a year each…. that’s a whole different story.

  • laker warrior

Shannon is trying to be cool. And why all the posts about some scrub. Is there no news reporting.
Like hows Bynum doing ? Who cares about La mar playing till he is 39 he only plays half the season anyways.

  • daboss1848

To clarify: is he saying that we overpaid?

  • Sheds

Give the guy a break will ya.

  • Lakers 24 7

    He learned from Ariza!

  • Brown Hater

Hey Flow Shannon wasn’t being to admirable NY was only offering him a 1 yr deal worth 2.6 compared to LA’s 2 year deal worth 4.6. The money was about the same but at least LA added a player option for another year. The guy is a Laker now so I’ll be pulling for him but I’m not gonna give the guy props for coming back because he couldn’t get a better deal, if NY offer him 4 million a year Brown would be a Knick right now.

  • kb24isthebest

lakers are gonna sign ebanks :)

    but what about caracter :(

    • 242LakerFan

Signed Ebanks. Just announced like an hour ago.
      Hopefully Caracter is next.

      • TwoBirdsKillEm

that’s great news… been a few years since the lakers had a couple rookies to develop

      • lakerfan106

DC is going to sign tomorrow, he is flying out to la today

      • 242LakerFan

So Ebanks’ deal is not guaranteed; he has to make the team first? Hmmm…I don’t think that’ll be a problem. He’s hungry.

  • lakerfan106

is it me or shannon always start off his sentence saying “you know” loll just listen to him after every interview

  • http://57.amklac laffs atu

    another mental midget…

    • 242LakerFan

Awww…and there you thought you were the only one…

  • Flow

Brown Hater, I hear what you’re saying, I just don’t understand why you hate Shannon so much at 2.4 mil, but Walton at 5 mil and Vujacic at 5 mil get a pass. If they could play, Shannon would’nt even be in the picture. He’s not by any means perfect, but for his salary and performance versus Sasha and Luke total non contributions, he is no where near the major problem. Sasha is the only reason Shannon’s even on the team.

  • ThEMVP

Glad to see him and the big fella Caracter get inked, but since I doubt Luke will make any legitimate contribution off the bench, I want Ebanks to get signed of course we will only know for sure when camp starts..

  • Robert.

Easy? Easy Decision? Maybe for him, but not his agent, I’m sure.
