Sasha is the next Lakers teammate who wants Odom here; as do we all.

O.C. Register: First Kobe, then Artest. Now Sasha Vujacic has made his way over to Asia to promote his line of footwear. But somewhat unexpected, the Lamar Odom saga has reached China.

Vujacic joins the list of current Lakers players endorsing Odom’s return. Maybe there is a fortune cookie somewhere that tells whether the Lakers will have good luck coming their way?

Listen as Vujacic talks to a TV host about Odom and how he speaks to Kobe in Italian during  games.

    L.O please stay

Man, I cant believe Odom is pulling ths crap…..no mattr what he does, i dont see him the same way. What does he want a freakin’ Candy-Gram from Jerry Buss asking him to stay?

  • as47lakerslover

Please stay Lamar. You are a champion!

  • PTG23

MAN THIS S HIT DONT MAKE NO SENSE. KOBE, FISH, WALTON, FARMAR, ARTEST, AND VUJACIC BEEN BEGGIN THIS DUDE TO STAY IN L.A. FOR WEEKS AND DWADE WANTS TO TELL L.O. TO “COME BACK HOME WHERE IT ALL STARTED”! BULLS HIT, DWADE NEEDS TO GO SUCK BOOZER’S DICK. ALL THIS “TWITTER” CRAP HE BEEN POSTING ABOUT GETTIN’ ODOM TO MIAMI IS A BUNCH OF S HIT. TO ME, MIAMI IS THE TRADERS; THEY SIGNED L.O. TO A 6 YR. $64 MIL CONTRACT AND THEN TRADE HIM ALONG WITH BRIAN GRANT AND CARON BUTLER TO L.A. FOR SHAQ. THEY ONLY REASON THEY SIGNED HIM BACK THEN WAS TO GET A SHOT AT SHAQ. THIS TIME, THEY’LL JUST SIGN HIM AT THE FULL MID-LEVEL AND THEN TRADE HIS ASS TO THE JAZZ FOR BOOZER. L.O. NEEDS TO BE IN L.A. WHERE HE’S WANTED AND NEEDED. NOT MIAMI WHERE HE SPENT ONE YEAR OF HIS NBA CARERR AND GOT NOTHING OUT OF IT.

  • ShowtimeEra

Sasha, if Kobe can’t talk Lamar into staying, what good would you do? That’s the funniest thing I’ve read all day!

  • ShowtimeEra

Oh and great pic for it too!

  • xtro

the machine is the key that will convince LO to stay in LA.

  • jordan

Ik ptg23 if he leaves who do you want shelden williams or drew gooden these guys cant even stay on a team. Trust me it might sound crazy but warrick is a good fit.

  • laker fan who hates flukes

    sasha sucks

  • Pistol Pete

Steve Harman just reported rumor Laks might try to sign and trade LO to miami for Udanis Haselem. Sounds like a bad joke.

  • Popcorn

Sasha should send Odom that picture of him. I always thought that expression of his face looks hilarious.

  • Mike G-man

Go work on your three point shot you uselss piece of sh** instead of promotng your shoes. He’s ther most overpaid shooter who can’t shoot in the league. But I agree bring LO back Haslem is weak in comparison.

  • Lamar

OK Sasha, I will stay if you will leave!
    And take Luke with you!

  • xtro

Lamar: Ok, machine. I will stay if you make your three-pointers all the time.

    Sasha: That ain’t funny!!!

  • TOUCHING_MYSELF

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT… DID I READ THIS CORRECTLY? SASHA HAS HIS OWN LINE OF FOOTWEAR? ARE HUSH PUPPIES EVEN ALLOWED TO BE ON WORN ON THE HARDWOOD? CONGRATS SUCKSHA, YOU’LL OFFICIALLY BE THE ONLY PERSON OVER 8 YEARS OLD TO ROCK A PAIR OF THOSE BROWN SUEDE SLIP ONS!

THAT CAN’T BE THOUGH, I THINK THAT EVEN HUSH PUPPIES HAVE HIGHER STANDARDS THAN THAT! MAYBE YOU’RE PROMOTING BALLET SLIPPERS… THIS WAY IT’LL BE EASIER FOR YOU TO DO YOUR DIRTY DANCING ALL UP ON GAY ALLEN AS HE’S DRIVING PAST YOU AGAIN FOR A LAYUP!

WHAT’S THE WORLD COMING TO? VUJA-SUCK HAS HIS OWN LINE OF SHOES? MAN, I THOUGHT THAT FLIP FLOPS WERE STRICTLY FOR THE BEACH?

THIS LITTLE BIT OF NEWS SADDENS ME… EVEN MORE THAN THE POSSIBILITY THAT THE LAKERS MAY LOSE OUT ON ODUMB!

  • JohnJohn

Sasha plays like Bruno….I begg you to leave sir.

  • jeremy

Udonis Haslem in a sign and trade??? I think im gonna b sick!

I RATHER SEE SHELDON WILLIAMS ON THE LAKERS THAT HAKIM WARRICK REAL TALK. DREW GOODEN IS OFF THE MARKET ALREADY SIGNED W/ THE MAVS. LAKERS DONT HAVE MUCH A OPTION IF ODOM LEAVES AND WARRICK ISNT ONE OF THEM. JERRY BUSS NEEDS TO STOP BEING SO DAMN DIFFICULT AND RAISE THE OFFER SO ODOM CAN STOP PLAYIN’ HARD-TO-GET AND RESIGN WITH THE LAKERS.

Yeah i agree buss should just give odom the money he wants but i was mentioning warrick because he we be like the closest to having lamar as far as versitility not skill.warrick averaged 12pts, 6rebounds and like two blocks last season thats not bad i dont think you can really say he is garbage.sheldon williams averaged 5pts,and like 4 rebounds.

  • LakersFirst

Now I’m not a fan of Udonis Haslem, BUT, if LO doesn’t want to be here and Buss does not want to give LO a long term deal, then a sign and trade for Haslem isn’t as bad as it seems.

First, Haslem has experience and if you look at his career numbers, he’s averaged 10 ppg and 8 rpg on his career. Yes, he isn’t as versataille as LO but his numbers aren’t far off from what LO’s were this year (11 ppg and 8 rpg).

Secondly, Haslem has one year left ($7M) expiring – this is attractive to the Lakers

Third – The whole point of a backup power forward is to buy minutes for your starting power forward (Gasol). Haslem and Powell can do that.

Fourth – Haslem is better than any of the other forwards that are available in free agency.

Again, I’m not advocating this trade, nor do I think its true, but I can see the reasoning behind it.

  • skew

i miss caron butler. he was a true laker. lamar, to me, was never a true laker. he was one lazy candy-ass who never cared about the game. i figured his son dying would spark a fire in his eyes but nope!!! same old lamar. if i hear the word “potential” again im gonna puke.

  • THELAKERSWON09

Well at least sasha is doing something productive… we haven’t seen that in awhile.

  • MACATTACK09

ok u can criticize me, but really i don’t blame lamar for going through all this. He’s in a tough situation deciding on whether he should compete for a championship or long-term security. Bottom line: lakers will not offer him an extra year and that’s giving him second thoughts on whether he should come back. This all comes down to more on what is best for his family, more so than another nba championship. Miami can offer the mid-level exception tax-free plus more years guaranteed. Although the Lakers have a bigger offer, taxes will cut his salary down to pretty much the same salary in Miami, but Miami is guaranteeing him more years.

  • Robert

Apparently this whole drama can drag on indefinitely. I have to believe that the Lakers management are playing smart. If not, then they’re making plenty of mistakes (I won’t say they’re idiots, but they have fewer and fewer options as time goes on); they have to do something if LO doesn’t sign, right? Are they ready for that.

  • Laker Love

You can tell who the real Lakers fans are. The real Lakers fans are focused on the real matter at hand, our desire to keep LO on this team so that we can keep the chemistry of the championship team. The loser bandwagon jumpers are commenting on Sashas footwear line and making insulting degrading comments about members of a team they’re supposed to be supporting. You can take that crap some place else. This is the Lakers Nation, we don’t hate, that’s everyone elses job!

Finally a real Laker fan. I agree 100%.
Stop talking crap and support your team and members.
Stop picking on Sasha,Walton,Farmar,Morrison and Odom thats like half our team u idiots. Some of those guys didnt play well last year but i think theyre huge part of our team and they will step it up next year.
Sasha didnt play the minutes last year let me see u be on the floor 5 minutes a game and see how u can get into your rithm, Adam didnt play and was new to the system give him some time man. Walton is a great bench player smart passer and does all the dirty work no one else would. Farmar had his moments but came back too early from his injury and never recovered right. And last but not least Lamar Odom is one of a kind player that does everything for us we need him back badly.
    Dont hate

  • Toon

I don’t want to hear about that financial security and “He’s gotta feed his family” crap. Average people make what 40-50k a year? They don’t seem to struggle. They’re not whining “I got a family to take care of.”

  • bryanmn1

So that’s why LA paid Sasha $15 over 3 years… To ask LO to stay in LA.

  • WINLESS

Sasha has his own brand of shoes?!?!?! Like what? Espadrilles? Pro Wings? Dada footwear? Worse yet, Reeboks! The HORROR!!!!!

  • dracul

Sasha’s shoes are known as the Nike AirBrick One – It comes with a money back guarantee – If you make a 3 point shot while wearing one, you get your money back. The AirBricks also take away all your other offensive capabilities, other than allowing you to aimlessly drive into the paint – although they don’t let you do anything beyond that.

  • MACATTACK09

In this economy, money talks. People forget that the NBA is a business. Your job as a player is to play basketball and provide the greatest possible for your family. Fyi, average people do not make 40-50k a year, so everybody has to be concerned about the money. Why do think every team these days think before making any investments about a player. Not everybody is flourishing in this economy, toon. I sure as hell ain’t.

  • Adrianyj

I will be happy if Lamar Odom can return to Lakers. But I found a replacement for him = Jermaine O’neal. It would be great if Lakers can sign him get help in the low post.

  • Lakerfan

we cant sign Jermaine it has been explained on these blogs like million times. we can only pay a player 1 million or so. Do u think Jermaine will play for a million? i dont think so.
The only way we can get Jermaine is through sign and trade but the numbers just dont match up + he is always hurt. Bad Idea. Ill stick with Odom.

  • Robert

OK, so we can’t sign anyone for more than $1M now. How about after the season starts? Or at the mid-Feb. trade deadline? So, once we sign (or don’t) LO, will this be the last dime that Buss can spend for the next few years (other than $1M, since contracts will be all wrapped up)? I’m not sure that’s true (i.e., that LO is the last person that we can sign, for, let’s say, a good few years, for more than $1M).

If that is true, then there’s no reason why Buss wouldn’t just pay LO what he wants. It makes it seem as though this is the ‘last and only possibility’ for us to have a decent crew for the next few years, for a Championship. He spends $83M, the Lakers recover some of that in Playoff and Final bounty, and we’re all set. It’s an investment. It will still pay off even if there is a reduction in Luxury Tax limit next year.

Simple math. What’s the problem? I don’t see what the problem is if this is the case. Or, is there something else that Lakers management can do?

  • ShowtimeEra

If that rumor is true LO for Haslem, why not do LO for Beasley? Lets get younger again!
