Ron on his free throws: “I know it’s going to go in…”

You got to love Ron. Here is what he had to say to Phil about his subpar free throw shooting…

O.C. Register: Artest was one of the few Lakers to have a decent game Sunday night but still missed 3 of 6 foul shots. He has made 17 for 33 this season: 51.5 percent. Artest was shooting extra free throws after practice Monday but sometimes still showing an odd hesitation in his shot release. Jackson pointed out to Artest that the “hitch” comes and goes without Artest even realizing it anymore.

“I shot 75 percent last year,” Artest reassured Jackson. “I know it’s going to go in. I just don’t know when.”

im seriously getting peeved in ron’s freethrow shooting. 51%!? i mean cmon. i didnt know he was gonna be a liability at the line. he better improve or else people will be fouling him at the end of the game instead of LO. Even LO looks like he picked up his FT%. we can’t have a defensive stopper/bad FT shooter at the end of games.

Hey relax, you guys are putting too much into this, let him get used to is. I know free throws is something he has done and is used to, but just like his offense with the Lakers, he will get used to it and get better at it too.
