The Lakers will be without Ron against Phx (who are 11-2 at home).

O.C. Register: Ron Artest (concussion) will not be coming to Phoenix to join the Lakers, as Phil Jackson had hoped.

Given that Jackson didn’t much like what the grouping of Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum did together, there’s little chance Jackson starts that big frontcourt against the up-tempo Suns. Phoenix starts 6-foot-8 Grant Hill at small forward, who isn’t ultra-quick anymore but still is not ideal for the 6-10 Odom.

Regardless, Jackson said he cares more who finishes the game than who starts it. So Shannon Brown, who fared well down the stretch Saturday night in Sacramento, would definitely seem in line for more minutes again at shooting guard against Jason Richardson.

The Lakers play again at Staples Center on Tuesday night against Golden State, so Artest might gain medical clearance to play then.

Get well Ron! I guess this means the same rotation as last game, with Sasha, Lamar and Shannon getting extended minutes with Adam getting some time also.
I want Ammo to regain his confidence, but i see zero enthusiasm from his part while playing. And Sasha has been playing a little bit better as of late hitting some shots. Jordan is the one shooting no matter what, just needs to get back to what he was doing the last 3 weeks or so.

Fartmore has really sucked lately. It is becoming apparent that he is not our point guard of the future. Hopefully we can unload this turkey and get a quality replacement for Fisher as his better days are behind him.
