Rip talking the trash. This isn’t ’04 anymore buddy…

ESPN: “I know for a fact Kobe can’t beat me in a shootout, so that’s one down,” said Hamilton, who at 46.0 percent on the season is well ahead of fellow Pennsylvanian Bryant’s 35.4 percent. “I just gotta figure out a way to beat the other guys.”

Fu-ck B!tch hamilton he can go suck a dick his malnourished ass is going to be tired after the first round…

  • 187 ON BOSTON

JUST WAIT. KOBE WILL SHOW HIM HOW WE DO IT IN CALI.

  • mar cruz24

haha RIP needs to stop talkign, watch when 24 is going to destroy him.

  • DCLAKER

Everybody, since the Pau trade has had some sort of comment directed specifically for Kobe. The last thing ANY of his peers wants to do is CHALLENGE KOBE,that’s like asking MJ to put up a MILLION for a game of spades,in other words,YOUR GOING TO LOSE. Rip is a hell of a shooter but don’t under estimate KING KOBE.

While I love Kobe, Rip is a pretty sick 3 point shooter when no one is covering him. Out of all the players there, however, Kobe can shoot the 3 ball under pressure better than any of them.

  • Michael_23

Rip needs to stand in front of Kobe in the contest and watch him drain the 3s’.

But his trash talk is good enough for Kobe to stir up a score of 25+ in the contest.

Rip this is the only man vs man event you could even come close to Kobe, he does everything better than you man.

  • SHAQ

I don’t know about u guys. I thought it was funny.

  • 8

i cant w8 to see kobe shooting trees when nobody is around him..has that ever happened before?:)

  • JNTHN

I saw kobe shooting a one-handed three from mid court and he made it on his first attempt. I just can’t remember if it was his left or right hand…
    RIP Rip!!

  • JCBiglessworth

Who does this guy think he is? a mediocre all start talkin trash about one of the greatest future Hall of Famers in sports???? Show some respect and recognize that u aint s*hit compared to kobe

  • DCLAKER

It’s not that big of a deal,he just feels like if theirs one thing and I DO MEAN ONE THING he can do better than Kobe is catch and shoot. I honestly think Ray Allen should’ve been in the event as well.

  • lakerschamps08

watever kobes gonna win i hope… rip can shut up

  • sepehr

Everyone needs to chill, Kobe and Rip have been friends and rivals since high school in philly. RIP is just putting pressure on Kobe, I like how everyone here thinks they are kobe’s bodyguard. If anything this should make kobe more competitive and hopefully win the contest. In my opinion, either Peja or RIP will win it but I would love to see kobe get hot like he did in seattle a couple years ago.

  • dcb2069

sepehr, amen to what you said.

they both go way back. theyre both competitive, and im sure they talk trash to each other all the time. its friendly banter. its not like rip is gonna go out there and clothline kobe. rip is a great shooter, but im curious to see how kobe does unguarded. he seems to get hot and cold sometimes from the arc, but i have a feeling he might get real hot in the contest and do surprisingly well.

  • http://getgarnett.com jonasjulienjoseph

YEAH LOL MAN ALOT OF US WAS YEALLING FOR NO RESON NONETHING WHEN COMPITITION COMES FROM A FREIND..BUT KOBE WILL STILL WIN LOOL

  • kobe4mvp

I think kapono will win. I saw a video of him practicing for the shootout, and he only missed once. He’s like a machine, same stroke every time. I hope Kobe wins though.

  • Lakerboi

We will just have to see RIP, but KOBE is the best all around player in the world…..

  • Odom the worst player

    Kobe can beat him

  • ricky

rip hamilton needs to shut the heck up! sure, he is a good shooter and perhaps a better shooter than kobe. however, the 3-point shootout during the all-star game counts for nothing. if he wants to challenge kobe, do it on the court where it counts.

  • Soysauce43

    y’all need to chill, they’re childhood friends…

  • http://www.thelakersnation.com Fred A.

Kobe is goning to let his shooting do the talking and all the shutting up.
