I am not surprize that Kobe ask that, I mean the first year he resign with the Lakers they didn’t make it to the playoffs and the past two years they were eliminated by the Suns. As I look how Mitch started to put together the players I didn’t see what he was doing. Shaq being traded to the Heats for Lamar, Butler and Grant, I mean what the heck was that…. I mean Lamar was good and so was Butler but Grant????? How about Wade or Haslem??? Also I don’t believe about not trading players in the same conference teams. Think about this Laker fans, if we traded Shaq to Dallas for Steve Nash and other players, I mean we won’t be worrying about this whole thing. I blame Mitch for the lack of passion and push to make the Lakers “The Lakers”. Also when we traded Butler for Brown I mean, what was he thinking? He was with the Washington so long and nothing has happen. That time got a real deal, and cheat deal and Mitch was too blind to see it…. I would have traded Butler to someone else beside Brown.

All I know is that if you traded Kobe to anyone for example the Bulls, you will lose more then a great player, in fact the best out there in the business but also fans who are willing to pay those out rage prices. You might make a new start but create a lot more hate against the Lakers. Do something and do it now!!!!

There is no way we are trading kobe at this time..Jerry West coming back sounds good…He might be able to push a good trade to get JO or Paul Gasol…We seriously need a good post player with tight D.

We need Jerry West to fix the Lakers and get them back to championship contenders. Dr. Buss he need´s to wake up and get Jerry West back to the Lakers. If we don´t get Jeery West back be prepared for a war at STAPLES CENTER.

I’ve been thinking about the details in a potential Kobe Bryant trade that would work for all parties. The trades listed below are in accordance with the salary cap and in my opinion make all teams stronger than they are currently.

Please let me know what you think. I’m going to pass this along to other organizations but first want to get your opinion.

    TRADES: LAKERS & PORTLAND

Lakers TRADE – Kobe, Lamar Odom, Bynum, Lakers 1st round 2007
FOR- LaMarcus Aldridge, Miles, Brandon Roy, Zach Randolph, Portland
    1st round pick (Oden)

*New Lakers Team – Roy, Miles, Zach Randolph, Aldridge, Portland 1st round (Oden).

*New Portland Team – Jarrett Jack, Kobe, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, Jamaal
Magloire, Lakers 1st round pick 2007

*** the point of this trade is to get enough pieces around Kobe to make a run for the championship. Jarrett Jack and Magloire are some but I still think Portland will want 1 more from somewhere….to do this trade. Maybe Lakers #1 pick here in addition to above? Not sure as that will be needed with the sonics.

    TRADES: LAKERS & SONICS

Lakers TRADE – Zach Randolph, Lakers 1st round pick 2008 (likely high lottery) (or
    LaMarcus Aldridge)
FOR – Seattle’s 1st round pick (Kevin Durant), Chris Wilcox and Danny
    Fortson (sign and trade).

So with the Sonics picking LaMarcus over the Lakers 1st round 2008 pick, its – Zach Randolph, LaMarcus for Seattle’s #2 pick, and Chris Wilcox, Danny Fortson (sign and trade), another player X. Obviously to work the numbers, we might have to give a bit more to Fortson on the sign-trade.

*** the point of this trade is to get the #2 pick. All other players involved in this trade are used to make the deal work.

    AFTER ALL TRADES COMPLETED:

Portland: Jarrett Jack, Kobe, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, Jamaal Magloire, Lakers #1 pick (Deep draft so this would be quality)

Seattle: pg, Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis (he will resign), Zach Randolph, LaMarcus Aldridge….or the Lakers #1 pick next year unprotected (should be somewhat high pick)

Lakers: pg, Brandon Roy, Kevin Durant, Chris Wilcox, Oden (solid core)….with next year’s pick (probable high lottery pick) or have LaMarcus Aldridge now (Sonics direction) as the Lakers PF

Portland gets better and can run for the championship now and for next couple years. They have youth, experience and the BEST player in the NBA with a better supporting cast than he had in LA.

Seattle gets the low post presence it needs in Zach Randolph, can either pick up in the deal LaMarcus Aldridge (youth, starting sonics center) or take the Lakers next year unprotected (or maybe protected to top 3) lottery pick.

Lakers get a SOLID and YOUNG core group in Brandon Roy, Kevin Durant, and Greg Oden, with the possibility of adding LaMarcus Aldridge this year (sonics discretion) or simply having a high lottery pick next year. Showtime will be back. And Buss can justify high prices.

This deal works. And it works for everyone. Cap friendly of course.
