Mike Brown’s coaching staff continues to grow, as Lakers assistant Chuck Person has been brought back to continue implementing the change in defense that he began in the second half of the 2010-11 season, according to SI.com’s Sam Amick via Twitter:

Person played in the NBA for 13 years before becoming an assistant with Cleveland, Indiana and Sacramento before his last two years as an assistant with the Lakers. Known for his outside shooting, Person won the 1987 Rookie of the Year and went by the nickname “The Rifleman”.

Person will be reunited with Mike Brown, as the two served as assistants for the Indiana Pacers under then head coach Rick Carlisle.

Good to hear. Lakers have good offense but in the play offs we failed to defend while they defended our offense

Nice one, its a big help that Person is returning as an assistant coach, we need the defense that he implemented last season, and we need his shooting expertise to help our players

Someone had to come back for continuity.  Him working with Brown before definitely didn’t hurt.

To improve the defense, get rid of pukey luckey.  LUKE YOU SUCK!!
