RareInk: Chick Hearn

Our friends over at RareInk just released a fantastic new tribute piece of the late, great Laker announcer Chick Hearn. The artwork is available for purchase in many different sizes and prices.

About the Art

Renowned rock poster artist Scrojo commemorates the legendary Laker announcer, Chick Hearn, who began his Laker career in 1965 and went on to broadcast a record 3,338 consecutive games. Hearn is remembered for his rapid fire, staccato broadcasting style, and famous sayings that have become common basketball vernacular. Many of those inventive phrases are captured on this vibrant art piece such as: no harm no foul no ambulance, frozen rope, garbage time, popcorn machine, among others. Most importantly, however, is Chick’s signature “This game is in the refrigerator: the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter’s getting hard, and the Jell-O’s jigglin’!”. This must-have art print for Laker fans is available in limited edition fine art prints, stretched canvases and on metal.
