There has been much debate on who should succeed Phil Jackson as the Lakers next head coach.

Brian Shaw seems like the front runner, but according to sources the Lakers are “Very Interested” in Rick Adelman, and have contacted Mike Dunleavy. At this stage in the process it is hard to gauge on who the Lakers will hire as the replacement.

So put your owner’s hat on and vote!

Who do you want to be the Lakers next Head Coach?

Brian is young and hungry……knows yet the team, played and won with Kobe….who’s best?

  • Jrxzibit98

    no brainer Larry Brown

    • rondo

      geezer!

  • TheBizShow

Laker fans just don’t get it, the triangle offense is past its time, the whole league knows how to pick it apart

    • NewLakerBlood

I totally 100% agree!! I am not a fan of this offense, everyone knows where you are going, and doesn’t make use of a point guard in a point guard driven league. It’s an old dinosaur, just like Phil.

Wow! So in one season it went from the offense that won the last two straight chips and eleven of the last twenty to an obsolete dinosaur? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard since Trump for President!

  • Mdearakal

Whoever votes for Jeff Van is crazy cause he is the biggest Laker hater on TNT

    • Anonymous

      A. He’s not even on TNT.B. He never hates. Just states.

  • EAZ1027

Brain Show all the way because he watched Phil Jackson

  • lakerman34

I think if we run pick-n-roll , we may learn how to defend it.

    So, Jerry Sloan.

  • RichW_Ray

If Jery Sloan is available the lakers should not hesitate he is a proven winner,

  • KID

Jerry Sloan ALL DAY!!!! LA needs to try an go after this guy he is a hard nose coach that will get the lakers d right an he is a proven winner with a good offensive.. GO GET SLOAN LA!!!

  • T-Dub

Byron Scott ALL DAY!!! Laker Legend, proven winner as player and coach. No brainer! He should have been there last summer, but just as I thought, Phil J. stayed one season to long. The entire season was useless with all the losing streaks. Byron should have been hired last summer. The triangle is designed for jump shooters which the Lakers do not have. Time to move on!

    • ilikebasketball

byron scott is my choice. laker legend and he has proven himself an amazing coach and with the right pieces i think he can be a ring wearing coach.

  • Guest

Michael Cooper! He won’t take shit, knows team defense, and is part of the Laker family.

  • Unseen_mc2002

its FUNNY HOW THEY ASK US IF THEY SHOULD BLOW UP THIS LAKERS ROSTER I SAY MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO GET RID OF WALTON.BYNUM.CARACTER,JOE SMITH,ARTEST,BLAKE, KEEP BARNES,ODOM,GASOL,BRYANT, BROWN,,FISHER, THE LAKERS NEED TO BRING IN JERRY SLOAN AS A COACH HE IS A WINNER IN HE SHOWS INTENSITY LAKERS HAVE TO GET YOUNG GUARDS IN A BIG TIME CENTER D HOWARD,DERON WILLIAMS WOULD BRING IN A RING

    • ilikebasketball

Bynum? are you crazy?! if he hasn’t proved himself to you then you haven’t been watching.

  • John from Burbank

J.S. is no B.S!  Jerry Sloan would add immediate class and dignity back to the tarnished franchise and players will dig deep in the foxhole to win for Jerry.  Crazy like a fox he is, but he’s earned a chance to win a Championship and why not bring that running Utah offense to the City of Angels!

    • ilikebasketball

cause that running Utah offense never gets the ring. Jerry Sloan is a proven winner in the regular season. but an utter failure when it comes to getting a ring.
think younger and more forward thinking. Byron Scott.

     WE WANT SHAW

  • TheLakeOne

I’m in for new Laker blood, its time…..eventhough the Triangle Offense is proven to win championships it is slowly becoming ineffective if its not already….The Lakers need to speed up the game, defend the Pick n Roll and guard the perimeter….I just see Shaw picking up from where Jackson left off doing the same things, I see him as being passive and will have Kobe act as coach more than anything

  • Oscardiaza

Adelman! he is a proven coach that runs a nasty offense with 2 capable big men passers. get rid of walton / blake / shannon and go after barbosa and afflalo.

Adelman, Even Kobe Supports The Idea http://www.iamagm.com/news/2011/05/13/kobe.supports.hiring.rick.adelman.lakers.coach…He Knows How To Win. …He Knows How To Win.

get rid of Shannon Brown, Luke Walton, and maybe Andrew Bynum if we can get Dwight Howard for him. We need a solid PG and SG that can score and give Brain Shaw a chance on coaching

  • laffsatu

    shaw is softer than gasol

  • Jayr_dayao

    Go get Rick Adelman

    +

Maybe try to get any of these players, Dwight Howard, Jamal Crawford, Aaron Afflalo or Leandro Barbosa

  • laffsatu

can`t kobe coach the lakers?then he could ignore himself…………

  • GotGasol

    FYI:
Stop talking about Byron Scott and Kurt Rambis. Both are under contracts that they can not get out of. The chances of either one of them being the next coach of the Lakers is 0%

  • Laker Nation 2012

Luke Walton gets my vote, that kid knows the game, and he’s a real leader, not like Kobe who loves to throw his hands in the air everytime he misses a shot, maybe he should learn the Manu Genobli flop!

Hey, how come nobody voted for Kam Pashai?

  • Klint_koontz

    Go Aldeman

  • Purple and Yellow BFF

We need someone to open up a can of whoop @ ss, I’m so tired of Kobe’s crybaby antics, the cat needs to see a shrink about his place on the team.  As long as Kobe insists on grandpa (derrick fisher) eating up valuable time, then we ain’t goin nowhere’s.
