Podcast: Voice of the Nation – Episode #61

votnheader

It’s been a while and the Lakers off-season checklist is complete. So David and Greg decide to throw on the headsets and give the Lakers Nation a off-season special.

The guys welcome Eric Pincus, from Hoopsworld.com on the VOTN hotline, to discuss all the big stories that has happened this off-season, and if Kobe get his extension before the season begins?

Also, Kurt Rambis looks like he is on his way to Minnesota, will Adam Morrison take over Sasha’s role? Do agents care more about themselves then the players (see Odom and Ariza) , and can the Lakers do what no team has ever done next season?

Good podcast. Funny when G’small got ripped into for cursing and what-not in front of the guest. G-small, you hodalized the podcast. :) Too bad that had to be edited out. Can we get some outtakes? Please tell me when you edit out stuff like that you don’t toss it all. After 61 episodes, you gotta have some comedy gold.

Hi guys, don’t forget the CBA rules prohibit the club from talking to the player about contracts. I suspect most players defer to their agent for two reasons; don’t understand their own CBA salary rules and believe their agent will get them the best deal available. Obviously, every player should approve or disaprove ever move their agent makes. If they don’t they can’t complain about the results. Trevor should still be with the team but blew-it. Ron-Ron made the best decision of his career and told his agent exactly what he wanted.

Glad to hear from u guys i hope your summer is going well. Yea im more excited now than when we added malone and payton. I mean we were adding their names more because they were so old at the time but im hopeing. As for goals that the lakers can push for to keep um pumped up going through the season. I think they should look to break the win streak record of 33 which we hold from back in the 70′s. the 72-10 record and when kobe retires we should hold the most titles in the league passing the C’s

What do people think about Lakers getting Allen Iverson for 1.3 mil to backup Kobe?

But his ego to step off the bench wont do it. He wants to start.
