I love Phil Jackson more than any other coach. Dude makes you laugh:

Washington Post: After Phil Jackson gave his post-game spiel, the Lakers coach had a little fun with a Spanish reporter who wanted to ask about Gasol’s potential impact.

“We expect Pau to lead us to a championship immediately,” Jackson said, straight-faced. “We’re going to win 25 in a row.”

    Make that 38 in a row..Please..

And let the mind games begin…oh yeah, Boston sucks.

  • AndrewT

“The pressure of winning and being one of the favorites, I think, is what you want to be involved in,” he said. “That’s the kind of pressure I’ve been missing being in the NBA. I love that.” – Pau Gasol

    I’m crying tears of joy.

  • Craig

    WIN 25??As a Lakers Fan~I don’t Believe that!

  • 187 ON BOSTON

“fuk boston” here we come muthafukers

  • maccassedy

  • MILO

With this new bold move by Buss i do see the Lakers taking out Boston in the finals after all we have a much deeper and talented bench. When Bynum gets back every team will fear the Lakers and will bow down to the best KING KOBE!!!!FU-CK YOU LE’BRON YOU’RE A FAG

  • MILO

Paul KG Allen eat you’re fu-ck-en hearts out muthafukers!

We don’t have the pressure on us to win a Championship like Boston does and now that the Patriots have lost the Super Bowl(Yeah!)Boston will have a rougher time getting to the ‘SHIP. You figure the REFS were going to,SAY IT WITH ME,cheat Boston into the finals,OH,IT’S TRUE,IT’S DAMN TRUE. Think if Red Sox,Patriots and Celtics won their respected ‘Ships in a row,c’mon, that’s how they wanted it but ‘DEM GIANTS spoiled that and SPYGATE,think about it.

  • Neo-Laker Era

Haha Boston may have the “Big Three”, but now we have the “Big Five and More!”. Basically our starting line up and bench, when AB gets back that is. No team’s starting line up is as talented as ours nor is any other team’s bench as deep as ours. Boston will soon find out that it takes a full team to win a championship, not just the “Big Three”.

Anybody think they should make any other trades.

  • keep24

For the first time in 5 years, we have all the pieces needed to win a ring THIS year!

KB did his job as the leader of the squad ( by lighting a fire under everyone’s a$$!), AB did his job, ( hit the gym, and improved his game by 500%.), Dr. Boss opened his wallet liked he said he’d do, Mitch had two big steals for the Lakers without ever leaving his office ( first he stole Ariza, at time I thought that would be the steal of the century, until he proved me wrong by committing highway robbery a few days ago), the bench, by far the deepest in the league, has stepped up time and time again …

which brings me to the final piece, Phil Jackson. He has to get out of his comfort zone and start coaching the way this young and talented team needs to be coached. He needs to stop acting like a super star and start coaching. He has never had a team that was this young, this talented and with the right amount of veteran help.

The time is now, Phil. Let KB and company be stars, you just deal with the, ehem, the Xs and Os – I know how much you hate that, but seriously, the is NOW!

Why win it next year when you can win it this year !!!!!!!!

  • Ryan

I don’t think he was joking.

i hope your joking…lol…of course PJ was joking.

  • T-Dub

To get a 20pt/10reb center to fill in for Bynum until he gets back…WOW…I still can’t believe it! In a few games the Lakers will be just as good if not better than we were before Bynum went down. Remember, your’re replacing him with an established 20/10 all-star. When Bynum gets back, we’ll be unstoppable. Forget next year, I’m expecting the rings THIS YEAR!!!!!!

  • DingleBerry

Its going to be interesting to see the lineup when bynum gets back and how the rotations will be… i think luke might be off the playoff roster. what a great problem for pj to have

I like Lakers chances of winning THOSE RINGS for the next 4 or 5 years(Kobe will be 34,Gasol 32).

Wow you haven’t even see this team play yet with Gasol and your going to be the Pats of the NBA? Ok.I have seen Pau play these days and I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Their is a reason you guys got him cheap. He doesn’t rebound and he lumbers up and down the court.

Uh yeah. Like there was a reason the Warriors got Baron Davis cheap. Oh wait…. The reason is because the other team is salary dumping and rebuilding. The Lakers just happened to capitalize on it just like the Warriors did with Baron.

  • Phant0M

    JoJO just KYS..
    he was obviously being sarcastic

Garnett saying to himself “DAMN!Maybe they’ll trade me for Luke,C’mon Mitch,CALL ME!!!!!

  • Lakers

What do you guys think about this trade? I think he will compliment our bench better…

  • lakerfan_24

guys phil was not joking we will win the 25 games in a row. i am serious. i think we have like 37 games left and we will win 35 of them if not all. i am not being sarcastic. everyone is playing great basketball. trust me on this one.we will win most of those games by double digits.

Dumb trade. Seattle is trying to rebuild around Durant and Vlade plays the same position. Also they want to keep their expiring contract to rebuild.
