Lakers head coach isn’t known for making guarantees but he has at least made one.
“We’ll be back Tuesday,” Jackson said. Referring to, the to be determined, Game 5 at Staples.
It may not be a huge statement; all Jackson is really saying is the Lakers will not get swept. But, reports from practice had Jackson pretty loose and he was even described as “jovial”.
Kobe Bryant also shared the same confidence:
“I just don’t believe we’re going to lose,” he said. “I’m not thinking about that. I’m thinking about the next game and going from there.”
As Bryant said after Game 2, maybe a change of scenery will be good for the Lakers.
“We’re not very good here at home the last two games, so going to Dallas might do us some damn good,” Bryant said after Game 2.
The Lakers play the Mavericks in Dallas at 6:30 PST for Game 3 tonight.
