Lakers Examiner: Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol has been listening to those NBA commercials telling people to vote for the 2009 All-Star game.
Gasol has been stuffing the ballot box for the player he thinks is most deserving to be one of the Western Conference’s starting forwards…Pau Gasol.
When asked about his voting technique, Gasol admitted that he had voted for himself: “Once or twice…just to give me a couple extra votes.”
While voting for yourself is perfectly legal, it generally falls under the “frowned upon” category. It doesn’t surprise me that Gasol would engage in this kind of activity, however, given the other common courtesies he’s been shirking recently, namely:
