Pau Gasol, Luke Walton game-time decisions

This is great news as we can really use them both!

O.C. Register: The Lakers are looking to snap a rare two-game losing streak Sunday night vs. Milwaukee, and the odds will increase substantially if Pau Gasol (hamstring) can play … or maybe a wee bit if Luke Walton (back) can play for the first time since Nov. 13. The Lakers are listing both as game-time decisions.

Walton practiced with his fellow reserves Saturday — Lakers starters were excused from working out — and is nearing a return to action after a pinched nerve in his back led him to try and rebuild his core strength. Gasol advanced in his recovery from a pulled left hamstring and was on the treadmill Saturday.

If Gasol can play, he can have a personal hand in preserving the Lakers’ record of never losing three consecutive games since acquiring Gasol on Feb. 1, 2008. He has missed the past three games since playing just seven minutes against Dallas on Sunday night.
