He will be re-evaluated tomorrow at practice and his availability for Tuesday’s game is questionable. We’ll keep you updated as he will NOT return to the 2nd half against the Mavs.

Pau Gasol injured his left hamstring (a strained left hamstring to be exact) in the first quarter against the Mavs Sunday evening.

Note: This is NOT the same hamstring which kept him out at the beginning of the year. Suffice to say, let’s hope it’s not too serious.

Update: Looks like Pau will undergo an ultrasound tomorrow…

Twitter: With Gasol undergoing ultrasound tests tomorrow on his left hamstring, I wonder if he’ll miss 11 games again like he did with his right one.

Wow, this was a fast update, and WTF!!! NOOO!! Thats what Phil said, it was not too serious and he was out for 11 games. Come on Pau, be like Kobe, fight through it without aggravating it

  • Justin M.

man, odom and kobe are playing through worse injuries, pau better be out there to start the 3rd

  • http://www.ld2k.com Chris Manning

We’ll have more information shortly after halftime (as they’re working on him now and he’ll be re-evaluated for the 2nd half).

    • http://LakersNation Marwan..

Hey Chris, its me Marwan, sorry, I deleted my Twitter after thinking that I had no use for it. So I made another one, TLN24, and if you need to talk, thats my twitter. Follow me people! Ill provide around the clock Laker updates, along with TLN, Im not stealing anything from here.

Sounds good – we’ll talk soon about blogging, as well!

          GREAT!! :D

How come when the Cavs lose ESPN doesn’t have it as a headline anywhere on the home page of the NBA? They’ve been going hard on their stupid win streak and even nba.com has Lebron ahead of Kobe on the MVP race b/c his “streaking Cavs”. Gtfoh. Anyway, enough ranting. lol

I hope Pau gets better.. nothing serious.

    • http://LakersNation Marwan..

I think I have a solution other than the “they are in love with Lebron” theory.
The Lakers are defending champs and Kobe finals MVP. So when they lose, its big news because Lakers dont lose often. You see teams like Raptors, they dont make the page because they beat .500 or less and thats not news but if they beat Lakers, it would make the page because they beat the champs, something not many can do. It was like that for the Celtics last year too. The Cavs lost and its on the front page too. Go check NBA.com, just not ESPN.com, because the light is on the Lakers-Mavs games but afterwards, one of the 2 games will make headlines. BTW, I’m a Laker fan so dont make assumptions of me being a Cavs fan.

It just seems to be EveryWeek an injury is happening to the Lakers

    • http://LakersNation Marwan..

Hey these things happen. Celtics had 3 players out at once, I’d rather have them out one at a time than all at once like Celtics. But yet again, I don’t want any injuries at all.

  • http://thelakersnation.com Eternal

    Get well soon Pau!

Btw what is up with the past two images on the blog? They are very blurry. =(

    • http://LakersNation Marwan..

Thats because they were sort of a “screen dump”. The other images are supplied by photographers from the games. It doesn’t really matter does it? I mean the article is what you want.

      • WifelovesLuke

Man, you must really want to blog for TLN lol

  • thanhttrinh

lets hopefully Pau’s injury would not be serious !

  • desecrator93

Just be lucky we arent the Blazers. The amount of injuries they’ve had up there has been rediculous.

    • http://LakersNation Marwan..

Just be lucky that injuries occur to us as often as the Clippers making the playoffs.

  • ryanperry36

The BENCH SHOWED UP!!! whoooh. About time! This game was easy even without TWO of our starters why??? Because the BENCH IS KEY. If these guys show up every game, its over for many years to come. And we will have the all time best regular season record if this happens. WELL…. Good luck with that happening, although it would be great if it did. We shall see.

  • gugy

Let’s hope for the best to Gasol.
On a positive note, great game tonight for the Lakers.
    Let’s keep up guys.

  • http://LakersNation PWNED

them cavs lost to them .500 bobcats at home. we havent lost to a .500 team yet but them cavs lost to them bulls, bobcats, raptors and more. just shows that them lakers is better than them overrated cavs that them media is in love with.
lakers only lot to playoff teams and that is understandable but celtics and cavs and magic have lost to .500 teams and non playoff teams too.

    • 007

you do realize that is how we played last season right? not showing up for .500 teams but showing up when it counts. that was our “thing” last season.

      • WifelovesLuke

Kudos to you, sir. I had not thought of that until I read your post. Well done.

  • Kobe The Mythical Being

All of these media hypes on lebron and the cavs are getting more rediculous everyday… It’s so tempting to say there’s really some sort of conspiracy going on inside the NBA…

Watch out Stern, somebody’s looking at you…

anyone have video of the play where pau got injured? i couldnt watch the game last night
