On behalf of the theLakersNation.com staff, we want to congratulate Kobe Bryant on his first NBA Most Valuable Player award.
Whether we are bloggers or writers, graphics makers or video makers, at the end of the day, we are all united as fans. We have followed this crazy year as a blog and have followed the “hollywood script,” as Kobe put it today. One thing about this website is that we were all together as fans. The Lakers bring us together. They bring out our creativity and our passion.
This past year (our website’s one year was yesterday, in fact), has been an amazing ride for us, the website and the fans. We have accomplished a lot out of hard work, determination and passion.
More than anything else though, this blog has allowed millions of Lakers and sports fans to connect. And for this, we are so appreciative. We love being able to follow the “Hollywood script.” We think we can all agree that this has been one of the most emotional MVP awards in league history for many reasons.
We are united in the middle of the ultimate goal – the NBA championship. This award, which many including most of us and even Kobe, thought was not possible.
Here we are, at the rise of an empire. Our favorite NBA player come tomorrow night will hoist it up. More than an award for him, it is an award for the fans. Congratulations KB24, we as Lakers Nation are proud of you. Now go get your 4th. We’re behind you…
