Lamar wants to win multiple titles with the Lakers.

champJust a few weeks after winning his first NBA title, the Lakers’ most sought-after free agent wasn’t about to lose the thrill by starting over. After agreeing to a four-year contract to stay with the Lakers, he’s expecting to feel it again—and perhaps again and again and again.

“I guess basketball-wise, I feel complete,” Odom said during a formal signing ceremony Friday at the Lakers’ training complex. “I want to feel it again.”

“It’s kind of an overwhelming feeling,” he added. “I get goose bumps when I think about it, and as long as I continue to play professional basketball, I want to always feel that. The way I feel during the summer, I always want to feel that. If we can win six, seven, eight, nine, 10 championships in a row, I want to experience that.”

wow on Lamar: “I always want to feel that. If we can win six, seven, eight, nine, 10 championships in a row, I want to experience that.” let’s start w/ winning this repeat campaign first and then go from there. hopefully we don’t get too far ahead of ourselves; but i do like the drive to win.

Been smokin the Cali Kush….the Lakers might win 10 more championships but Lamar will only win 3 or 4 more with Lakers option.

    I like that mentality.

    Lamar X Odom

I hope they keep the focus and the drive through the season. I don’t wanna see anymore “give away” games to Atlanta, Memphis, Milwaukee, Charlotte, and the lesser teams. That’s what pisses me off. Games that they have no business losing, they do. So let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves and I hope they stay focused.

    Don’t forget the +/- statistic:

LO is 3rd on this list; it means, if he does ‘nothing else’ (or, nothing at all), just his presence on the court makes the rest of the team better. (Kobe is 5th on this list). So, whatever the Lakers are doing, whenever LO is on the court, the team does better. He’s even ahead of DWade, who was essentially ‘the Miami Heat’ (and DWade played a lot of minutes).

Add Artest into the mix, and you have a team that is likely to be Champions for the next few years.

But it’s good to hear LO talk with enthusiasm. If he plays during the season the way he played in the Finals, we’re going to see some records being broken this year (Bulls record of most season wins, for example).

Great Lamar…love your thinking. Too bad it’s not that realistic as I see us going down the drain again once Kobe retires and or when Artest leaves the Lakers. But, I’ll stay hopeful and wish that that happens.

well as for now i will be satisfied if we can beat the smeltics in the finals those 10 times!!! beating Orlando was not as gratifying as it would be if we get the smeltics and maybe beat shaq and Le’bron in the finals!!!

Going down the drain when Kobe retires?

The Lakers won’t ever “go down the drain”. The Lakers are the Yankees of the NBA. Everyone wants to play for the Lakers. If Kobe retires, LeBron, or the next Lebron will replace him.

Don’t be surprised if Dwight Howard ends up in LA.

Where the heck else do you think he will go?

Do you think a guy like that will languish his whole career in Orlando?

    LOL
