Lamar wants to win the title. Not only was he, arguably, the BEST Laker last series… he is willing to do whatever it takes to win.

O.C. Register: “I’m here to do whatever it takes to win, and that’s create positive energy,” said Odom, who balked when Jackson first suggested not starting Odom this season. “It’s too late in the season for me to care or take it personally.”

    thats why you keep LO

  • ja

This is what is so absolutely special about LO–if you want to talk about outright skill, hustle, and passion, he should ABSOLUTELY be starting over Andrew.

The fact that he wants that title as badly as any other Laker emanates every single game since the latter part of the season. It is crazy to think that, as competitive as all athletes are, he is willing to do whatever it takes to win the title. LO was ROBBED of the sixth man award.

  • WifelovesLuke

LO is the Ginobli of 2009. After 10 seasons in the NBA, he covets the prize and is willing to make sacrafices. The ironic part is that even though he comes off the bench, his minutes really don’t decrease too much and he’s always on the floor at the end of a game when it counts.

Now a message from all the Odom haters……
    Wait for it…..
    Guess not!

    Odum is the man!

Bynum never really got in rhythm against Utah. Maybe he’ll be better against Houston/Portland

  • lakeshow31

LO is the man…he is a vet and understands that the title is most important. He is going to give up starting or whatever he needs to do to win it all. I hope Bynum is listening to how a real pro handles himself.

  • trademaster 2009

Bynum just gotta do fast breaks, yao is too slow for ANyone

  • International Laker

He is just doing what we expected him to do all season… last year he played just as good, but not even close to this in the finals. Unless he plays WAY better this year, I say resign Shannon and Ariza and let LO go find some other place where he can play without pressure.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I do believe that LO has finally arrived! Not only is this guy’s game been impressive, but his attitude is the exact positive vibe that the Lakers need right now. Farmar’s attitude about how Shannon Brown has been taken his spot is to be complimented as well! If only Farmar can get his confidence back and start to play like how he’s been during the beginning of the season.

I hope that Bynum can will take a page out of their P.R. page and recite their sentiments when asked about the possibility of coming off of the bench! If this playoff rookie wants more playing time then he better step up during this next series. He better dominate because we’ll need his size and strength from now on!

You’re crazy! Hahaha! As much as I want revenge against the blazers, I understand that basketball is a game of matchups! And Portland being so long and athletic present so many difficult matchup problems for us. It’s not that we don’t do the same for them, but with Bynum not playing up to standard, it’s not a good time to be facing them in the playoffs!

The 2004 championships would have been ours had we played anyone else, but the pistons! And had the pistons played the Spurs, then the Spurs would have taken it! It’s all about matchups and unfortunately, the blazers just seem to have our numbers at least for now. I’ll be looking for revenge against them next season!
