Why is it everytime the overly-emotional Thuggets Nuggets meet the Lakers, they feel the need to continue to talk, talk and talk? Well, here we go again.

Yahoo! Sports: “We kind of know how to beat them, what we have to do,” Karl said. “We’re learning that better, and I think that’s a positive.”

“Why should we be? [The championship] was last year,” Anthony said. “They are the same to me. They are the Lakers, I guess.”

“I don’t know if they’re better,” Billups said. “But they won it all. They don’t have to be better. Nobody was as good as them.

“That’s yet to be seen. I really, really thought Trevor Ariza(notes) was good for that team. I think they miss him.”

Like Heath Ledgers Joker said towards the end of The Dark Knight “And….here…..we…………go”.

If any Laker wasn’t already fired up about the Thuggets coming to town, this should do it.

Kobe will kill that chicken J.R. Smith nugget to night

Wow. I hope this game is FINALLY the one that wakes the sleeping giant. C’mon now. When you have the second best team in your conference lobbing bombs at you like this? If THIS doesn’t show the Lakers that no one really respects them b/c of their lack of focus in big games this year, I don’t know what will. I really REALLY hope they wake up tonight, crush the nuggets, and ride a wave of momentum into the postseason. There’s only what, 32 games left? How about a 28-4 tear to finish it up? At the very least, Denver is due an absolute pounding after what they did to the Lakers earlier this season.

Well, you have to admit, they are really really really god…at running their mouths. You’re better than us when you beat us four out of seven. Period.

  • keepon_keepinon18

“…they don’t have too much to fear from the champs.” Does this sentence make sense? The Lakers did something you (the Nuggets) did not after all.

Even before reading this article, any Laker follower could tell what it was going to take to beat the Lakers. The Lakers thrive when the work from inside-out, meaning letting the post play make the play and so clogging up the paint would be a big start. Takes away Pau, Andrew, and any drives to the basket.
It doesn’t take a revelation to figure out that the Lakers don’t mix well with strong quick guards like Lawson.
And the most obvious thing would be the energy level; if the Lakers come out flat and unmotivated, this game will get out of hand quickly. Lakers really need to focus on slowing it down after a defensive rebound. They can plays with Denver’s tempo but if the Nuggets get hot, it will be trouble.

Quite frankly the lakers havent given any team reason to “fear” them this season. They look weaker than last season and if denver played them well in the conf. finals last year then they have every right to feel the way they do. funny what carl said about lawson, everybody knows we cant guard those type of players. Expect him to have a big game…

Who cares if teams are not afraid the Lakers now. When playoff comes that’s when the Lakers needs to kick into high gear and start punishing those bastards.

Just look at the Cavs, they are doing exactly what they did last season. Playing great ball in the regular season. but once playoff starts, then is another story. Would they make to the finals? Maybe, but I am not betting on it.

Back to Denver, let them run their mouths. They are team of thugs. Hopefully we can beat them well tonight so they can STFU.

Oh man,not this fuckers again! Shut the fuck up Melo! Just what the fuck have you done yet in this league, you and Queen James! Until one of you actually wins it all, do us all a favor. SHUT THE FUCK UP!

lmao EVERY team knows how to beat the other, it’s just about execution. Obviously the Nuggets are stupid, I’m pretty sure the Lakers can change their play and find a way to BEAT the Nuggets at their own game. So all this talk about the nuggets having a master plan to beat the lakers is garbage, I mean every team knows the Lakers weaknesses. Just because you know doesn’t mean you are smart enough to execute. Newsflash, the Lakers know how to beat the Nuggets, which has been proven for the last 4 years. Nugget fans, please make sure your team wins something before you talk about beating the Lakers in a playoff series.

If your team wasn’t so scared of the Lakers, they’d stop talking shit at every game. Obviously the Lakers don’t care enough to say anything. Truth hurts.

  • pauer

It seems to me like the teams that fear loosing to the Lakers the most, talk the most sh*t. (Nuggets & Celtics)

Even in last year’s playoffs they were saying they were better than us, and we proved them wrong, let’s do it again.

  • Kobe8/24

See, we do our talking on the court. Anyone can talk trash but WILL they back it up whe Kobe is hitting them baseline fade-aways on the baeline, Pau yamming it on Andersen or Drew schooling Nene? I don’t think so. So until they beat the Lakers in a series and WIN something, hey should all SHUT THE HELL UP.

  • LAx213xALLDAY

*Yawn* I’m about to go to Mickey D’s before the game and eat some damn nuggets myself. We’ll shut this team up and since they all collect tats, we’ll give them an extra tattoo right on their ass after this whoopin. LETS GO LAKESHOW!

  • Anthony

It doesn’t look like they’re running their mouths just yet. Looks like they’re going to win tonight though and I think with that it’ll begin. That’s fine too. Let them keep talking. Although, beating even this soft Lakers team in a 7 game series is going to be extremely tough to do.
