Nuggets Coach, George Karl, has been the beneficiary of many negative feelings from Lakers fans. These negative feelings stem from his days as an NBA broadcaster and some statesments made during his coaching tenure in which he was labeled a “Kobe hater.”
Some of those feelings should be changing right about now.
While being interviewed following last nights game, Karl had this to say about 24: “He’s a top-5, top-10 player in all-time. He’s established himself of the Michael Jordan of this era. His excellence and championship mentality is pretty obvious almost every night he plays, and I think that’s what fans want to see.”
This among other recent statements should finally get the hater monkey off George Karl’s back. The man has a tremendous amount of respect for Kobe Bryant’s game; something that coincidentally may or may not have to do with his son, Coby (also coincidental?), who was a short-stint Laker. Whatever it may be, it’s good to put one negative notion to rest.
