Preseason officially kicked off last night at the Save Mart Center in Fresno against the Warriors. Dwight Howard sat due to injury, but there was a buzz in the building for the debut of PG Steve Nash. Nash had 5 points, 3 assists which included a cross over 3 pointer on Warriors PG Jarrett Jack and an assist to backup Lakers C Robert Sacre that went between the legs of the Warriors C Festus Ezeli. Gasol played aggressively with 8 points in the first quarter, and Kobe went 2-7 FG which included a 3 pointer assisted by Nash and a beautiful spin fade away.

Although the Lakers led at the half, none of the starters played in the second half, which turned out to be disastrous for the Lakers bench. The Warriors went on a 35-0 run and blew the game open, winning 110-83.

On a side note, Dwight Howard is pondering the nickname “Iron Man”as he looks to lose the Superman moniker.
