Mike Brown continues his media tour around Los Angeles, after being named the new Lakers head coach.

Brown joined “Lopez Tonight”, on TBS, Tuesday night (Watch the entire interview below):

Brown talked about many things including getting it done on the defense end of the floor, his hunger to win a ring, and why he likes the fact that he is inheriting a team that underachieved this season:

I’m excited about taking this team over, because these guys are used to playing [in the NBA Finals]! They’re not.” Brown said. They are angry men right now, and I rather have a group of angry men that have a point to prove not only to themselves but to all these lovely fans in LA, that ‘Hey, we ended our season too early!”

I’m still slightly skeptical, but you know what? I keep seeing and hearing Mike Brown and I really like him. I like the guy. I really hope I was wrong to doubt this move. I really hope so.

      agreed
i like him too as a person, hopefully he ll be fine
still skeptical about his offensive part which was dreadful in cleveland

despite his weak offensive plans, lakers have always been a defensive team, once we keep that D in mind the O will naturally be right there, i was a bit skeptic about hiring him, but none of the other coaches have been defensively good as mike Brown. now he has the right pieces and the hunger for more is back in LA and i do mean PURP n GOLD!!!!

I’ll admit I was hating, but his personality is definitely winning me over.
