In what is likely a non-issue at this point, Chris Mihm and DJ Mbenga got into a little scuffle at todays practice in El Segundo. The two backup centers had to seperated by teammates after DJ seemed very unhappy with Mihm’s defense on a practice play.

Afterward, the two players seemed to have worked the issue out, as DJ tried to explain why he lost his temper in front of Chris Mihm and assistant coach, Kurt Rambis. Fair to say, all seems well.

The two centers have been battling for limited playing time off the bench — a battle in which Chris Mihm has seemed to have won (if you can call it that) as of late.

I also feel obligated to note that Mbenga is a 7 footer with a black belt in Judo. He is probably the last guy in the league that you would want to fight — Chris, you dodged a bullet here, my friend.
