Miami Herald: Lakers have taken the summer off

Here’s an interesting trade idea the Miami Herald brought up. Includes J.O. information and what the Lakers currently want and don’t want to do in terms of a package:

Miami Herald: Reportedly the Pacers want both Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom included in a deal for O’Neal. The Lakers wish to hold onto the seven-foot Bynum, who will turn 20 on October 20th, but he would most likely have to be included in a package for O’Neal.

What about Bynum, Kwame Brown, Jordan Farmar, Vladimir Radmanovic and a future first-round pick to Indiana for O’Neal? The Pacers would get a pair of young players in Bynum and Farmar, while Brown (who is in the last year of his contract) and Radmanovic would best enable the deal to work under the salary cap rules. L.A. would then possess a dangerous threesome with Bryant, O’Neal and Odom, helping to satisfy everyone including Kobe and the Laker fan base.

Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak needs to make a move, and Indiana is the right trading partner. Acquiring O’Neal would have Los Angeles eagerly talking about the Lakers and the upcoming season.

Lakers FO trying to hold on to Bynum instead of Odom. Motherf*ck Mitch Cupcake

This is so funny how everyone blames the FO for not getting a trade done. they have made alot of mistakes in the past but All you can do is offer a team a trade. MItch can off Indiana Bynum/Brown the whole clipper organization and if Indiana doesn’t want no deal happens.

Simple truth is as of right now Indiana does not want a package built around Bynum and Brown.

hey why dont u read the article above this one. the lakers are willing to give up bynum! they are offering the pacers a package of bynum and kwame. they dont want to give up bynum and odom in the same package. and trading odom doesnt make the team a whole lot better anyways so they wont trade odom. they are counting bird to take a package around bynum!

What happened to not getting equal value for a all star? I’d try to talk the Pacers out of Famar and/or the 1st round pick cause Jermaine O’Neal is NOT worth 5 players. I don’t care who they are. However, if we couldn’t, I’d make that deal.

JO 4 5 pick. dumb deal!!

Lakers aren’t budging and Indiana isn’t either..

    That trade I will accept!
But keeping Bynum is saying no Kobe no Lakers?

  • franchise98bn

Keeping Bynum is like a big F U to Kobe. If the Pacers want Bynum and some filler for JO and we keep Odom pull the trigger already.
