An injury update. We wish D.J. the best on his eye recovery!

Twitter: DJ Mbenga out Game 1 and maybe Game 2 after emergency laser surgery to left eye tonight. Was poked in practice today.

man we can’t afford so many injuries right now but we’re fortunate that we have drew back to replace a lost big body so pau is not going at it alone.

In the Lakers calendar, this year is the ‘year of the injury’

Sasha is missing the first 2 rounds of the playoffs http://bit.ly/dAbEUf. That photo will most likely give you nightmares, so look at it at your own risk.

this whole team has suffered at least 1 injury for each player not good

Injury is (unfortunately) actually ‘part’ of the game. These athletes play at such a high level, that injuries are not only possible, they are probable.
    .
So, assuming the Lakers have ‘troubles’ during the playoffs (I will never say that they won’t win it all), they can attribute it to injuries. Even if the Cavs win a game or two against the Lakers, they would be doing it with “the Lakers are injured” consideration. So the Cavs (and no other team as well) will never be better than the Lakers.
    .
The Lakers “at full strength” will NEVER lose a game. We will see them playing with courage through these injuries, and after the Championship run, they can have a summer to heal up and come back even stronger next year.

that sucks, hope he gets better soon!

I hope Mbenga comes back soon and phil plays him more because we need his shot blocking ability, rebounding, second chance shot that leads to easy basket or atleast alter some shots. I like Mbenga because he challenges every shot and I think we need that as an energy booster.
